I still can’t get over the fact that they built this entire futuristic resort in the middle of nowhere. Those blue glass domes and aluminum houses in the dunes look unreal from above!

1️⃣ Book in Advance: Desert luxury domes have limited capacity, especially during peak Xinjiang travel seasons.
2️⃣ Prep for Sand: Bring protective covers for your camera gear and drone the wind blows fine sand everywhere!
3️⃣ Pair it with: Spending a day in Makit town first to experience local culture before heading straight into the dunes.
