Sincerely sharing!!! 🌏 "About the itinerary" Usually, people take the small loop around Kashgar, or start from Kashgar and go counterclockwise around Shache and Hotan, bypassing the Taklamakan Desert and then looping around Aksu; but this time I chose to do half the loop, starting from Kashgar, spending three days in Taxkorgan, then heading towards Aksu, mainly to save travel time and to see the Populus euphratica forests above, ending in Korla; (For detailed itinerary guide, see images 2-14) 🏎 "About transportation" This trip I traveled with two older sisters, and since we passed through high-altitude areas, we chose to rent a car with a driver instead of self-driving (which proved to be the right choice). On the first day, at 3500 meters altitude, the two sisters already felt very uncomfortable; on the second day, at 4000 meters, I also felt not so good. If crossing the desert, an off-road vehicle is recommended; other times an SUV is sufficient. The national highways are well-paved and the ride is quite comfortable. 🍗 "About food" Xinjiang lamb is really delicious! Whether it's grilled lamb skewers or boiled lamb stew, the only thing I couldn't get used to was the steamed lamb buns, which have a strong gamey taste. Friends going to Korla must go to 'Luobu Village', but I tell everyone with the experience of buying two tickets, don't rush into Luobu Village, it's more attractive to drive into 'Luobu Naor National Wetland Park' from the side!!! Tips: Go in the evening for the most comfort—no sun, beautiful light, and the sunset is legendary! 🌊 Bosten Lake China's largest inland freshwater lake! Seeing it in person is truly stunning; the lake is as vast as the ocean. The water is clear and the breeze is soothing—perfect for walking, zoning out, and watching the water meet the sky. Just book for free online—zero cost! 🌙 Swan River & Peacock River night view Seriously, Korla's night view is severely underrated! The evening breeze is gentle, the lights are brilliant, and the river flows softly. Walking at night is so healing—it costs nothing and the atmosphere is incredible.
