Hidden in Foshan, this garden-style private restaurant is so beautiful you won't want to leave! 🌿 The perfect weekend ritual is enjoying a good meal with family and friends! I recently discovered "Jiran Courtyard," and it completely won me over, from the ambiance to the food! ✨ Upon entering, you're greeted by an elegant Suzhou garden landscape 🏮. The Lingnan-style architecture paired with floor-to-ceiling windows... the sunlight streaming through the windows is simply breathtaking! The private riverside rooms are perfect for gatherings and banquets! 🍽 Here's the highlight! Their dishes truly deserve a detailed description: ✨ Passion Fruit and Organic Fresh Tomato Burst: One bite and it bursts with juice! The refreshing sweet and sour flavor of passion fruit perfectly infuses the cherry tomatoes, making it crisp, refreshing, and appetizing—instantly awakening your taste buds! ✨ Crispy Bamboo Shoot Slices with Fresh Chili and Green Peppers: The bamboo shoots are sliced as thin as cicada wings, with an incredibly crisp texture! The aromas of fresh and green chilies are distinct, with a subtly spicy and savory flavor that's incredibly satisfying! ✨ **Soup:** Clear Chicken Broth with Pepper and Mountain Delicacies - Frog with Stone Frog A truly ceremonial "crossing the bridge" cooking method! Boiling hot clear chicken broth is poured in on-site, instantly locking in the tenderness of the frog. Paired with mountain delicacies and freshly ground pepper, a bowl of this is sure to warm your heart and stomach! ✨ **Sea Urchin Sauce Braised Rushan Oysters:** This combination is absolutely amazing! Plump Rushan oysters are coated in a rich, golden sea urchin sauce. One bite, and the sweetness of the sea urchin and the smoothness of the oyster blend together in your mouth, an explosion of happiness! ✨ **Salba Sauce Stir-fried Australian Baby Lobster:** The baby lobster meat is firm and chewy, coated in a special salba sauce, bursting with wok hei (wok aroma)! The salty, savory, and slightly spicy flavor completely permeates the lobster meat; you'll want to lick the shell clean! ✨ Braised South African Abalone with Scallions (Traditional Method) The abalone is braised until tender and flavorful, with a rich and savory sauce that doesn't overpower the abalone's natural freshness. Every bite is a classic Cantonese flavor! ✨ Roasted Spanish Ribs The outer skin is crispy and caramelized, while the inside is tender and juicy! The meat easily separates from the bone with a gentle tear, releasing an irresistible aroma – a carnivore's delight! ✨ Handmade Lava Crust Pastry The final dessert was absolutely stunning! With a gentle break, the golden lava filling bursts out. The outer layer is incredibly flaky, and the filling is sweet but not cloying. Be sure to capture the moment the filling oozes out! 📸 From appetizers to desserts, every dish showcases the chef's dedication. The elegant and private ambiance, coupled with attentive service, makes this truly the most satisfying private dining experience I've had recently! 🥢

If you are tired too, go to Rushan Silver Beach and surrender your soul to the sea and pine forest — traveler post in Rushan

If you are tired too, go to Rushan Silver Beach and surrender your soul to the sea and pine forest

The sea here can hold all your fatigue The sand here is so fine it makes you forget where you came from At the southeastern corner of the Shandong Peninsula lies a 21.7-kilometer-long silver beach. It is called Rushan Silver Beach, known as "the number one beach under heaven," yet many people have missed it. |The sand here is deceptive The sand at Rushan Silver Beach is as fine as flour, white as silver, and barefoot feels like stepping into a pile of cotton, making you not even want to wear slippers. The slope is gentle and the beach flat; you have to walk dozens of meters into the water before it reaches your waist. Children can safely dig in the sand, and elders can roll up their pants and wade in the water. |The sea here has a temper Summer is the liveliest season—the beach dotted with tents, the night market filled with smoke and fire, the singing at Thumb Square blending with the sound of waves, and the aroma of grilled oysters drifting in the sea breeze. The entire Silver Beach seems enchanted, coming alive overnight. |But the best time at Silver Beach is autumn. The sky is high and clouds are light, tourists have dispersed, and the whole beach is yours. The sunset slowly sinks into the sea, golden light spreading across the water. In that moment, you will understand what "floating light leaps like gold" means. |The pine forest here can cleanse your lungs By the sea hides a vast black pine forest covering thousands of acres, with negative oxygen ions in the air more than ten times that of the city per cubic centimeter. The fresh scent of pine needles mixed with a faint sea smell makes a walk feel like a natural spa for your lungs. |Life here is addictive There’s no rushed itinerary to check off, only the relaxed feeling of waking up naturally and going downstairs to eat seafood. Scallops and crabs freshly caught in the morning can be served at lunch. When the tide recedes, carry a bucket to catch clams and little crabs, just like childhood. Some say it’s the "Hegang by the sea," others call it a "ghost town." But those who have been here know it’s just a place that lets you slow down and fall in love with the seaside. Why not give yourself a break Take a walk on the Silver Beach sand Let the sea breeze carry away all your fatigue

Recommended Beef Brisket & Offal Pot and Savory Skewers.

I recently visited a spot for beef brisket & offal pot and skewers. Right at the entrance, you'll see staff grilling oysters, along with two large hanging ovens for on-site skewers. The open kitchen prepares the signature beef brisket and offal pots—the mix of aromas is absolutely mouth-watering! Hanging Oven Skewers Fresh ingredients are skewered and grilled to order. The hanging oven method ensures the heat is perfectly controlled. The Angus beef skewers, paired with over ten types of seasonal fruits, offer a rich meaty flavor with a refreshing fruity twist. Don't miss the grilled pearl abalone, organic corn, "Better Together" chicken wings, grilled snowflake scallops, and the "Heart-Tugging" tripe skewers. The charcoal aroma is incredible—simply delicious. Grilled Oysters These large Rushan oysters are massive, plump, and juicy, bursting with garlic flavor in every bite. Beef Brisket & Offal Pot Crafted with an "intangible cultural heritage" artisan spirit and slow-simmered for 3 hours. The Shacha broth is rich, the brisket is melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the offal has a perfect snap. Fried bean curd skin, tofu puffs, and crab roe noodles are the ultimate companions, soaking up all that flavorful broth. Plus, if you favorite and check in at the shop, you can enjoy over 10 side dishes and claypot porridge for free with unlimited refills! Cold Cucumber / Celery with Bean Curd Skin / Roasted Chili Century Egg The appetizers are refreshing, tangy, and spicy—the perfect way to start the meal. 🤍 Heading to Weihai, there are some things I only dare to say honestly — traveler post in Rushan

🤍 Heading to Weihai, there are some things I only dare to say honestly

Weihai in September and October is really great for a slow-paced trip. The breeze is fresher than in summer, and the sea is clearer. My route starts with the city's seaside, then leaves one day for the Rongcheng line. Not cramming all the attractions together makes it much easier on your energy levels. DAY 1 can start at Liugong Island, then head to Haiyuan Park and Maotou Mountain in the afternoon, and finish at Torch 8th Street in the evening; DAY 2 covers International Bathing Beach, Xiaoshidao, Weihai Park, and Yuehai Park, with dinner at Hanlefang in the evening; DAY 3, if the weather is good, combine Naxianghai, Jiming Island, and Chengshantou. Remember to check the tides for Xiaoshidao, and confirm the ferry schedules for Liugong Island and Jiming Island before you set off. For seafood, I recommend Qiaokeli Yujia; there are branches near Hanlefang and Torch 8th Street, which is perfect for those who want a proper seafood meal. You can order the spoon worm over rice, steamed seafood pot, and sea urchin dumplings. The first two have a more direct umami flavor, and the dumplings are perfect as a main dish. If there are only a few of you, don't over-order; save some room for snacks like seaweed buns, Weihai mung bean jelly, and Rushan wedding cakes. For clothing, I suggest short sleeves with a light jacket; in October, add a sweatshirt or trench coat. The wind is strong by the sea in the morning and evening. Looking good in photos is one thing, but staying warm is what really matters.

Travel destinations for seniors 60+ | 4 super comfortable, low-impact travel spots — traveler post in Rushan

Travel destinations for seniors 60+ | 4 super comfortable, low-impact travel spots

Traveling with seniors is often stressful due to strenuous hiking and rushed itineraries. We have selected 4 cities with flat terrain, complete facilities, and a relaxed pace. These spots involve less walking, more riding (cars/boats), gentle and palatable food, and easy access to medical care, ensuring a comfortable and worry-free trip for retirees. 🌿 Yangzhou, Jiangsu | Slow life in Jiangnan, enjoy food and sightseeing ✅ Why it's suitable: The old town is mostly flat with few steep slopes or stairs. You can take a cruise to tour Slender West Lake, or use the scenic sightseeing shuttle if you don't want to walk. Huaiyang cuisine is soft and light, perfect for seniors' teeth and digestion. The focus is on enjoying a slow morning tea without rushing to check off sights 📅 Simple 3-day itinerary D1: Arrive and rest, enjoy morning tea at an old teahouse, savoring shredded tofu and three-ingredient buns, and take a leisurely stroll through Dongguan Street in the afternoon D2: Take a sculling boat on Slender West Lake to enjoy the garden scenery, visit Ge Garden, and sit down to rest whenever you feel tired D3: Night cruise on the Ancient Canal, browse local markets to buy specialties, and head home at a relaxed pace 🍜 Must-eats: Shredded tofu, clear-stewed lion's head meatballs, thousand-layer oil cake 💡 Tips: Avoid crowds during holidays and try to return to the hotel for a nap at noon 🌊 Guilin & Yangshuo, Guangxi | See the landscapes by boat, almost no hiking required ✅ Why it's suitable: The best of the scenery can be enjoyed by boat. Large cruise ships on the Li River and gentle bamboo rafts on the Yulong River allow you to take in the karst landscape while seated. Stroll through ancient towns on flat ground; there is no need for high-intensity hiking, and the air is moist and fresh 📅 Simple 3-day itinerary D1: Arrive in Guilin, take a relaxing walk in Elephant Trunk Hill Park, and enjoy a night cruise on the Two Rivers and Four Lakes D2: Take a Li River cruise to see the landscape paintings, and visit Xingping Ancient Town to see the scenery featured on the 20-yuan note D3: Take a sightseeing shuttle through the Ten-Mile Gallery, stroll slowly through the local streets, enjoy local food, and head home 🍜 Must-eats: Guilin rice noodles, Lipu taro braised pork, mild beer fish 💡 Tips: Choose comfortable large boats instead of bumpy small bamboo rafts; watch your step on slippery surfaces when it rains 🌴 Quanzhou, Fujian | Ancient Minnan city, explore a thousand years of history on flat ground ✅ Why it's suitable: The entire old town is flat, with attractions concentrated around West Street, making short taxi rides very convenient. The area is rich in cultural atmosphere with red-brick houses and ancient temples. It is not overly crowded, the snacks are gentle and affordable, and the city has complete medical facilities 📅 Simple 3-day itinerary D1: Arrive and rest, take a slow stroll through West Street, visit Kaiyuan Temple on flat ground, and see the ancient banyan trees D2: Wander through Qingjing Temple and Chengtian Temple, and visit a local old market to experience the local life D3: Take a gentle walk on Luoyang Bridge, taste Minnan snacks, buy souvenirs, and head home 🍜 Must-eats: Vermicelli soup, ginger duck, peanut worm jelly (you can skip this if you don't like it), peanut soup 💡 Tips: The old town has many arcade buildings; be sure to stay in the shade during summer 🌅 Weihai, Shandong | A peaceful coastal town, enjoy the sea with zero fatigue ✅ Why it's suitable: The city is clean, tidy, and has flat roads. No need for hiking; you can see the sea by car or by walking along the beach. The beaches are gentle, the sea breeze is soft, prices are affordable, and the local culture is simple and honest, making it perfect for coastal wellness and relaxation 📅 Simple 3-day itinerary D1: Check into a seaside hotel, take a walk on Silver Beach in the afternoon, and enjoy the sea breeze and sunset D2: Take a sightseeing drive along the coastal road, take a boat to Liugong Island, and use the sightseeing shuttle on the island D3: Explore local markets for food, enjoy fresh and light seafood, and head home at a relaxed pace 🍜 Must-eats: Boiled seafood, mackerel dumplings, seaweed buns 💡 Tips: It is windy by the sea, so keep a light jacket handy; try to choose light cooking methods for seafood 🧓 General tips for traveling with seniors 1. Carry your ID card; most attractions offer half-price or free admission for those aged 60 and over 2. Plan fewer stops, reserve time for a nap at noon, and avoid rushing from early morning to late night 3. Keep common medications on hand and prioritize accommodation in city centers with easy access to medical care 4. Shoes must be soft and non-slip; bring a hat for sun protection 5. Don't aim to visit every single attraction; comfort and relaxation are the goals of the trip

Avoid the Crowds This National Day | 5 Seaside Cities Perfect for a 3-Day Getaway — traveler post in Rushan

Avoid the Crowds This National Day | 5 Seaside Cities Perfect for a 3-Day Getaway

🔥 Want to see the ocean this National Day without the crowds? Popular coastal cities are packed with tourists, and hotel prices have doubled! We've rounded up 5 relatively niche seaside towns 🌊 Perfect for a relaxed 3-day, 2-night vacation without the frantic sightseeing. Breeze through the ocean air, enjoy affordable seafood, and have a relaxing National Day holiday~ 🌊 ① Guangdong | Shanwei | Gentle, Pristine Bays 🚄 Transport | High-speed rail directly to Shanwei Station. Getting around the city is super convenient by taxi or renting a small e-scooter. 💫 Highlights Escape the crowds of Huizhou and Sanya! Wait for the "orange sea" sunset at Jinxiang Silver Beach and take a slow stroll along the seaside embankment. Zhelang Peninsula offers views of two completely different seascapes at once. Find a seaside homestay where you can wake up to the scent of the ocean breeze. 🦞 Local Must-Eats | Thin-shell clams, Spanish mackerel balls, and high-value seafood at seaside food stalls. 🌊 ② Fujian | Dongshan Island | Cinematic Vibes 🚄 Transport | Take the high-speed rail to Yunxiao Station, then take a taxi to the island. 💫 Highlights The colorful seaside houses at Nanmen Bay are incredibly photogenic and full of atmosphere ✨ Maluwan Beach has fine sand, perfect for kids to splash around and play in the water. Be sure to ride an e-scooter along the Sufeng Mountain coastal road to take in the mountain and sea views. Compared to Xiamen, the crowds here are much more manageable during the National Day holiday, making it perfect for a slow-paced stay. 🦞 Local Must-Eats | Squid, oyster omelets, Shaojianling (meat rolls), and refreshing four-fruit soup. 🌊 ③ Shandong | Rushan | A Quiet Northern Blue Sea Town 🚗 Transport | High-speed rail to Rushan Station, then take a taxi to the Silver Beach area. 💫 Highlights Avoid the overflowing crowds of downtown Weihai! The long, soft Silver Beach coastline is quiet and uncrowded, with very affordable prices. ✅ Simple 3-Day Itinerary D1 | Stroll around Silver Beach and wait for the stunning sunset over the sea. D2 | Visit the Dalushan Scenic Area and walk through local fishing villages. D3 | Enjoy a hearty seafood meal before heading home. 🦞 Local Must-Eats | Rushan oysters and mackerel dumplings; the seafood portions are generous. 🌊 ④ Jiangsu | Dongtai | A Hidden Gem on the Yellow Sea Mudflats 💫 Highlights Unlike typical blue oceans, this area features unique mudflat seascapes. ✅ Simple 3-Day Itinerary D1 | Go mudflat clamming at Tiaozini Wetland and watch the tides (❗ Be sure to check the tide schedule in advance). D2 | Take a walk and get some fresh air in the vast forest at Yellow Sea Forest Park. D3 | Visit the pier at Jianggang Fishing Port and enjoy fresh seafood before heading home. 💡 Tip: There are quite a few mosquitoes in the coastal wetlands, so remember to bring repellent. 🌊 ⑤ Guangxi | Qinzhou | A Low-key Coastal Treasure in the South 🚄 Transport | High-speed rail to Qinzhou East Station. For getting to the beach, we recommend taking a taxi or driving yourself. 💫 Highlights Almost no large tour groups! If you're lucky, you might even spot wild white dolphins at Sanniang Bay 🐬 You can take your time exploring the old town for food; the seaside atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing. You can find seaside homestays for around 100 yuan, making it very budget-friendly. 🦞 Local Must-Eats | Qinzhou pork trotter noodles, various affordable seafood dishes, and local specialty sweet soups. ✨ National Day Travel Tips ▪️ Homestays in niche seaside cities fill up fast during holidays, so try to book in advance. ▪️ The temperature difference between day and night at the beach can be significant, so bring a light jacket. ▪️ When eating seafood, try to choose local restaurants around the fishing port for freshness and better value.

Weihai Duofushan International Wellness Tourism Resort

The flying blanket + glass slide are very kid-friendly. The mountain is not too high, and a 5-year-old child can go directly to the middle of the mountain. There are few people in April, and many flowers are blooming. You can feed the little rabbits, peacocks, and ostriches at the foot of the mountain. It is very childlike.

Silver Beach Ocean Park

I took my daughter there, and she had a blast. The water park has everything you need, and while the land park doesn't have a ton of rides, it's more than enough. Plus, there's no limit on how many rides you can have. The daytime tickets I bought were very busy, and there were no lines. But around 4 p.m., a large crowd arrived, and there were lines for everything. The service was excellent. It felt like many of the staff were part-time university students, but their attitude and service were excellent, attentive, and patient. That's a plus! My daughter said the only minus was that the water in the wave pool was a little dirty. The prices at the small shop inside the park are the same as outside, and they have everything from water to sausages and popsicles. Key point: There's a buffet at the entrance, 28 yuan per person, and the food is incredible! They offer braised pork, beef tenderloin, shredded pork in Beijing sauce, stir-fried squid, fried fish, fried chicken... and a variety of cold dishes, main courses, and soups and porridge.

The scenery is beautiful and worth a visit. However, cars are not allowed to enter the gate. Several villagers are guarding and collecting parking fees or charging in their cars, which feels irregular.

Yintan Coastal Tourist Resort - Thumb Plaza

The thumb is the landmark of Rushan Silver Beach. It is well built. You can see the meridians on the golden hand, which corresponds to the blue sea. In the afternoon, the square is very lively. Various square dance teams compete with each other. There is also a team of elderly models rehearsing. We walked along the beach. There is water in the square to wash the sand off your feet. There are four-wheeled small battery taxis on the roadside. It costs 5 yuan to get on the car and it will take you as long as you don’t leave Silver Beach.

Tidal Lake Wetland Park

The scenery is stunning, especially at sunset. Parking and access are free. Those who enjoy fishing and catching shrimp can have a great experience there. While the fish and shrimp aren't large, the wildness and the thrill of catching a fish are something you'll only understand if you've been there.
