There's only a wooden monument and an explanation board.
Original Text
About 5 minutes walk from Akasaka Station. The place where Katsu Kaishu lived until 1859 ~ 1868. There is nothing left to reminisce about that time, and there is only a wooden monument and an explanation board engraved with the "ruins of Katsu Kaishu's residence" on the site of the condominium (Soft Town Akasaka). There are two other sites in Akasaka, Katsu Kaishu's residence.
I found it by chance while strolling around Tokyo Midtown. I knew that Katsu Kaishu lived in the Hikawa area, but when I saw this monument, I felt the passage of time.
The stage of the drama at the end of the Edo period

It is the site of a residence where Kaishu Katsu in Hikawa Sakashita spent 10 years. Ryoma Sakamoto volunteered as a disciple and went to the front at Kanrinmaru from here, so you can bite into the history stage. It doesn't mean what remains.
Visited to see the statue of children. When I arrived at sunset, it was dark and I couldn't see the statue well. After all let's go to a bright time during the day.
I ended up walking from Nogi Shrine to Akasaka Station, and on the way I found a monument to the site of Katsu Kaishu's residence. It's an apartment and there is no trace. There was a statue of Katsu Kaishu in front of the nearby library.
