there was a glacier in japan!
Original Text
Karl refers to a wide ridge-shaped valley created by erosion of glaciers. You can see it from various places in Murododaira. It is a place designated as a national natural monument in the valley (Karl), named after the geography scholar Naokata Yamazaki published a paper showing the possibility that there was a glacier in Japan in 1902. It's a place that's not allowed, but it's nice to just look at it from a distance.
Yamazaki Karl is located on the northwestern hillside of Mt. Oyama. Geographical scholar Naokata Yamazaki showed that there was a glacier in Japan, and its existence was confirmed in 1905 (Meiji 38). After that, this valley was named after Yamazaki. Looking at it from the Emmadai, the valley only leaves traces of glaciers. I can only think of it at that eternal time. By the way, in 1945, it was designated as a national natural monument as the Yamazaki area valley of Tateyama.

Takayama
It is the ruins of glaciers in Tateyama. You can see it from Murodo Terminal, etc., but it is part of the splendor of the scenery of Tateyama.
I'm thinking.
