Tenjinzaka is one of the seven slopes of Tennoji Temple with historical value on the west side of the Uemachi plateau in the center of Osaka city. On the way, it leads to Yasui Jinja shrine enshrining Sugawara no michizane, and it is derived from the name of tenjinzaka.

It is one of the seven slopes of Tennoji that descends from the Kamimachi plateau to Matsuyamachisuji and leads to Yasui Shrine, which enshrines Sugawara no Michizane. It is a beautiful slope with quiet cobblestones. There are venerable shrines and temples in the surrounding area.
