Fabulous setting with amazing staff and service. The platter was the best I’ve had in a long time. Really enjoyed the barrel Chardonnay . Take time to look at the art too .

I have been to Matawhero numerous times and it has always been exceptional. The environment and service (particularly Sally) is always unbeatable and I can’t recommend it enough
Worth a detour
Very accommodating in awful weather and pressure of a cruise ship party. Staff were delightful , a lovely lunch and wine tasting. Well worth a detour.
