Wow, so different from the previous photo!
The nice thing about Yaka beach is that there is a small netted area, where you can swim and avoid the poisonous things that are in the Okinawan waters. The area is about the size of a large swimming ...
The old Yaka Beach does not exist any longer. There is a beach and is is just OK if you want to sit out and catch some sun but what you see in this photos is not what you see on a daily or weekly expe...
Many of the beaches on the main island of Okinawa are concentrated on the west coast. The east coast is not popular and can be avoided, so I think it suits the present era. If you go on National Highway 329 from Uruma City to Kinbucho, you will find a guide called "Yaka Beach" on the street, so please turn right there and park your car. There is a beach right next door. It is easy to understand if you aim at "Yaka Beach Parlor" along the national highway.
It is a sandy beach near the Yaka Interchange on the Okinawa Expressway. It is perfect for sitting on the sandy beach and looking at the sea. The land you can see over there is Heianza Island or Miyagi Island. There is a nearby Family Mart, so it is convenient for shopping when you want a drink or ice cream.
Unlike the west coast, it is a beach where tourists do not come very much. I go kite surfing when the wind blows instead of swimming in the sea. The beach is wide and you can rest assured.

The beach where the locals go
