Xuanmiao Taoist Temple

The ancient city of Jingzhou was built in the year of Tang Kaiyuan (713-714). Named after the Taoist metaphysics thought, it originated from the "Xuanzhi and Xuanxuan, one of the wonderful words" of "Laozi". It flourished in Yuanyuan, the first of Jingdu Taoism. Xuanmiao Temple also had to give the title "Nine Old Xiandu Palace" architectural scale. Guanqian, Yuanzhizheng three years (1343) erected "Zhongxing Road to create Jiu Lao Xiandu Guanji" stone monument, records the beginning and end of the construction of Jiu Lao Xiandu Palace. In 1981, it was announced by the Hubei Provincial People's Government as the second batch of Hubei cultural relics protection units. In 2006, it was approved by the State Council as the sixth batch of national key points. relics protection units.

Jingzhou Xuanmiaoguan is the sixth batch of key cultural relics protection units approved by the State Council on May 25, 2006. It is one of the three views of Jingzhou. It is located on Jingbei Road, the central city of Jingzhou City, Hubei Province. Xuanmiaoguan is a famous cultural relics tourist attraction and tourist attraction in Jingzhou City. It was built in the Kaiyuan years of Tang Dynasty. The name of Xuanmiaoguan has been changed many times. In the first year of AD 1○○, Song Zhenzong's lower jaw was renamed Tianqingguan. In the first year of AD 127, Yuan Chengzong was renamed Xuanmiaoguan. In 1339, Yuan Shun Emperor gave the title "Nine Old Xiandu Palace". In the Qing Dynasty, the emperor Xuanxuan, who avoided the taboo of Qing Shengzu Kangxi, was renamed Yuan Miaoguan.

One of the three Jingzhou views Kaiyuanguan and Xuanmiao view are in the ancient city. The transportation is convenient. Kaiyuan view is under maintenance next to Jingzhou Museum. Xuanmiaoguan has a long history and was built in the Kaiyuan years of Tang Kaiyuan. The existing building is rebuilt in the 12 years of Ming Wanli (1584 AD). Now there are three buildings left, the former is the Yuhuang Pavilion, the middle is the three-day gate, and the latter is the Zihuang Palace. The building feels very new. I asked that it has just been repaired. This is the first time I have fully visited the Taoist Temple. Although it is a horse-watching flower, it has benefited a lot. There is a monument in the Yuan Dynasty of "Nine Old Xiandu Palace Notes". After 700 years, the handwriting is still clear and recognisable. The Taoist view is not big. You can visit it in half an hour.

Xuanmiaoguan is the former residence of Chen Youyi, leader of the Jingchu Earth Peasant Uprising. Ming Yongle 22 (1424) changed it to Xuanmiaoguan. This view is located in the main street of the south gate of the city, before the 1941 - 128 division head Wang Jinxuan set fire to the city, known as "one view of ten halls". The present Xuanmiaoguan was rebuilt in 1984 on the original ruins and has now developed into a famous Taoist center in Jianghan Plain.
