Faquan Temple

Faquan Temple Scenic Tourism Area, a national AAA-level tourist attraction, provincial cultural relics protection units, provincial forest park, ranked 39th among the 100 famous Buddhist temples in China. The first general of Tang Dynasty, Wei Chi Jingde, once repaired Faquan Temple, and the Song Dynasty Chongning five years (1106) Qinci Faquan Temple and Xi'an Jingyun Temple were the two temples of the upper and lower courtyards. Nanhua Temple has a history of nearly 1,500 years. The construction area of Nanhua Temple is more than 12 thousand square meters, consisting of Caoximen, Fangshengchi, Baolinmen, Temple of Heavenly King, Daxiong Palace, Tibetan Jingge, Lingzhao Tower, Liuzu Palace and other buildings. Except for Lingzhao Tower and Liuzu Palace, the existing buildings were rebuilt after 1934 by the Xuyun monks. In 1983, the earliest batch of Nanhua Temple was designated as the key national monasteries by the State Council. On June 25, 2001, Nanhua Temple was approved by the State Council as an ancient building in the Ming and Qing periods and included in the list of the fifth batch of key national cultural relics protection units.
