This is a temple of the Rinzai sect Eigenji school. It seems to have been built during the Nara period. The main hall is Kannon-do and has a thatched-roof taste. The principal image inside is a secret Buddha, so you cannot see it, but it is said that it is actually private but that it is designated as an important cultural property, the eleven-faced Kanzeon Bodhisattva designated by the government as an important cultural property. ??
