Mosques
MaxS
This building is officially called politically correct: "The Mosque-Cathedral Complex in Cordoba." But colloquially, the name is shorter — the Mosque "Alhamah", or simply "Mosque", or "Mesquite".As in most other cities with a history dating back thousands of years, most of the buildings stand in place of those that existed before. So, once in the center of Roman Cordoba there was a temple dedicated to the sun god. Later, the Visigoths built the temple of San Vicente in its place. After the transfer of the city to the Arabs in 711, both Muslims and Christians used it together, dividing it into two zones. But the prosperous city grew rapidly, space became scarce, and in 786, Abdarrahman I bought the Christian part of the church and some other buildings around. In just a few years, a magnificent mosque was built on this site.Columns, capitals, and stone from various Roman and Visigothic structures in Spain, Europe, and even Africa were used to speed up construction. Therefore, the oldest part of Mesquite is actually an archaeological museum.Later, as the city grew, the Mosque was expanded three times under different rulers: under Abdarrahman II and Alhakim II, the length increased to the south, to the river, and to the north, due to the expansion of the courtyard. Under Vizier Almanzor (Al Mansour), the largest increase in the complex took place, almost doubling, due to an extension on the eastern side. As a result, the total area reached almost 24 thousand square meters. Before going inside, we walked around this giant rectangle from three sides. As always, with the arrival of Christians, Muslim and Christian details began to become closely intertwined. For example, on the southern facade there are Christian frescoes and sculptures under the Arab arches.

For 3,000 years of its existence, Seville has been in the hands of the Iberians, the Romans, the Goths, and the Arabs, and finally came under the sceptre of the Spanish kings. Along with the change of power, the monuments of that era also changed. Often new monuments were built on the destroyed old ones. As it turned out, the situation in Seville is similar. Today's Cathedral of Santa Maria de la Sede stands on the site of a Large mosque built by the Caliphate of Cordoba in the 9th century. A temple was built in the fifteenth century. Today it is the largest temple in Spain and the third largest in Europe.

Built in the 14th century, the synagogue is the only synagogue in Andalusia and one of the best preserved synagogues in Spain. There is only a small room, the carving is still beautiful, and the original Hebrew inscriptions are still preserved on the walls.

Churches and Cathedrals
DEAR张小球
The cathedral is located in the center of Malaga, and the church is a relatively tall building in Malaga. The history is also very beautiful for a long time. A square outside the church is like a knitting, it is quite lively, and the surrounding buildings are also very beautiful.

Churches and Cathedrals

Churches, always the highlights and landmarks of the city, the white cliff town - Longda is the same. Where is the main church in Longda District among the few simple and elegant churches in Longda? Chinese tourists have different understandings and different opinions. The main church should be the Church of Our Lady of Mayor, according to the address and map logo published on the main tourist website. The Old Town south of the new bridge, the highest point in the center, is the Church of Our Lady of Mayor. The Roman Empire was converted into a temple, the Moorish era was converted into a mosque, and after the Catholic two kings established the Kingdom of Spain, the church was built on the basis of the mosque in 1485 until the current form of the 17th century. Walking around, green trees are lush, the church is solemn, the tall towers and the long corridors have a distinctive Muslim architectural style, and the architectural styles of different periods of hundreds of years are interesting... The sacred feeling is born.

The church, always the city's highlights and landmarks, is also the case in Longda. From the parking lot north of the old town, along the main road south of the north and south, the first landscape is the main church of Santa Maria. White walls, brown frames, three floors of height, towering bell tower, blending Spanish and Arabic architectural styles; Not tall, but also exquisite and elegant, in line with the cozy and warm demeanor of the small town... Tips: In the small town of Longda, the larger church has two churches - the main church of St. Mary to the north of the new bridge and the Church of the Virgin of Mayor to the south of the new bridge.
