This park offers a relaxing hiking trail with a great view of the glacier. It is a beautiful trail (especially during the fall leaf season) that takes you to some nice sights (and hail at the bottom of the glacier). There are signs along the trails (and the road to the car park) of where the glacier edges extended in previous years (which makes the reduction in size very obvious).

The Bottridge Glacier is a beautiful river in the local area. There are particularly spectacular scenery here. It is very worthwhile to drive by yourself. The scenery along the way is super invincible. It is especially worth visiting.
Pottridge Glacier, beautiful and spectacular. The river is clear.
Looking at the beautiful view of the Botzhi Glacier on the shore of Lake Botzhi, feel the cool opening hours and addresses of summer. Tel: Portage Glacier, Anchorage Alaska Tel: 907 783 232 Opening hours: The lakeside cruise ship Botzhi Glacier is open all day for ten kilometers. Right in the middle of the valley on Lake Potts. I was so excited to be here this summer to see the beauty of the summer iceberg. This anti-seasonal beauty gives me a subtle feeling, and after seeing it with my own eyes, I feel that the scenery here is beautiful and spectacular. It was said that a century ago the glacier was still large enough to fill almost the entire Potts Lake. Later, global warming, the world's icebergs subsided, and a century later, the glaciers here are getting smaller. I heard that in the 1980s, standing on the shore of Lake Potts, you can see the Potts glacier in the distance. Now if you want to see, you can only take a ferry. The lake is the product of the glacier dissolved, the lake is pale blue, it is heard that the debris in the glacier is ground into a fragment, and it becomes like this after falling into the water. Later, when we arrived near the glacier, the ferry was off, and we floated on the water to see the glacier, and the ice crystals on it were like crystal clear crystals, very beautiful.
The first destination is the famous Portage Glacier -- Portage Glacier. The glacier is ten kilometers long and sits in the valley along Lake Portage. A hundred years ago, the glacier occupied almost the entire lake area, but due to global warming, the glacier retreated, after a century of melting, has been degraded more than 5,000 meters. It is said that in the 1980s, standing on the lakeside can see the glacier, but now we have to take a ferry around the snowy mountains to see its true appearance. (Note: Ice and glaciers refer to Glacier, I may have mixed the two nouns, but I will not change them uniformly.) At 1:30 pm, the ferry set sail and headed toward the glacier hidden behind the snowy mountains. The whole lake was formed by melting. The fine silt (glacier flour) that is grounded into each other in motion by the debris in the glacier falls into the water, making the lake water pale blue. Take the ferry slowly on the lake, you can see the snow melt on the cliffs of the lake, turn into a creek, and there is still thick snow in the shadow of the foot of the mountain. After half an hour of driving out of the pier, we can finally see the Bottridge Glacier. The ferry took us to the vicinity of Portage Glacier, then turned off the engine and drifted quietly in front of the glacier, giving us the opportunity to enjoy this rare natural wonder up close. A closer look at the glacier, on the surface of tens of millions of ice crystals, such as dream crystals, mysterious blue from the depths of the cracks, in the daylight to show a breathtaking gradient, I am deeply fascinated.
