Reviews: Sigüenza: Sigüenza Cathedral & Diocesan Museum Entry Ticket
Guest User2025-02-19
A true surprise! The cathedral is majestic, with splendid altars and retables; the included audio guide illustrates the works well without lengthy descriptions. The altars of Santa Liberata and Don Fadrique of Portugal, at the end of the left nave, are particularly special, while at the end of the right nave is the chapel of the De Arce family, featuring the tomb of the young De Arce, known as El Doncel, depicted as if awake and relaxed, reading a book: it's a legendary work. The cloister is very beautiful, with its relaxing greenery and chapels overlooking it. The nearby museum is well-organized, with religious paintings and sculptures—some truly remarkable—from across the province of Guadalajara; here too, the audio guide helps visitors without being intrusive. Ultimately, the cost is modest for the quality of what you see; the staff is very courteous and helpful (the ticket is valid for one day, so the visit can be made at different times). It's worth it!
