I booked a VIP tour this time, and the itinerary was very packed, with five or six boat trips in total, making it a fairly in-depth tour.
The Mekong River didn't look very clear; the water was quite yellow and covered with water hyacinths, but there was no unpleasant odor.
The island had many plants (various fruits) and animals (pythons, crocodiles, catfish, etc.), and the guide led the tour, providing very enthusiastic explanations. At the narrow section of the river where boats were manually rowed, the guide mentioned that a tip was expected for the rowers. Before the tour ended, the guide suggested that if we were satisfied with the trip, we could also tip him; I felt I had to give him something, otherwise I'd feel awkward.★

Traveling alone is really suitable for this kind of tour group. It is a very interesting experience. Although there are some attractions that are selling nature, there is no pressure. This journey can still see the scenery of the Mekong Delta and local life.★
