Reviews: Ho Chi Minh City - Da Lat Sleeper Bus: One-way/ Round-trip

We booked this with a friend, but the bed was too narrow for two people; we couldn't even turn over. There were phone chargers and water available. The bus stopped every two hours for bathroom breaks. The driver was good; I slept the whole way. Upon arrival in Da Lat, there was a minivan to take us to the next stop. In Da Lat, we had coffee, instant noodles, and snacks.

I couldn't select a seat when booking on Trip.com, so I went to the office to check in the day before just in case, and they assigned me one. It was a bit of a hassle, though, as I couldn't even get a seat I liked. It seems like it might be cheaper to just go directly to the office and buy the ticket without booking on Trip.com.

The tour bus itself was worth riding and was nice. However, even though I had a reservation number, the verification process took a long time, and people who arrived later ended up getting on first. The reservation is pointless. Just pay directly on the spot. That's faster!

A great way to travel from Nha Trang to Ho Chi Minh City. The driver was cheerful – he woke me up in the morning with cheerful songs 😊 When I asked to stop for the restroom, he always found a spot – very responsive.

We departed Ho Chi Minh City at 8:25, crossed the border at 11:20, departed again at 12:30, and arrived in Phnom Penh at 16:35. There was one rest stop along the way. The immigration and customs procedures were handled by the guide, which made things easy.
