We came to Malaysia for two weeks, booked two eSIMs beforehand. It was easy to install, easy to use. In the first day though I went beyond a 2Gb limit. The connection stayed yet was way too slow. So we learned the lesson and used wifi where possible and saved data for the places we traveled to. Overall, im very satisfied with my experience ☺️

A very low-cost eSIM worked well. Except in KL, where the internet speed was sometimes slow. But it was fine for what we needed. Maybe because it wasn't 5G Ultra. It worked in the jungle and on the islands. I never contacted customer service.

In Bali, everything worked, flew smoothly, the signal was good everywhere, and there was plenty of data. In Shanghai, the reception was sometimes a bit spotty and it didn't fly very well, but that's more likely a problem with the towers in China. It was difficult to connect, or rather, activate, because there was no internet. We tried using the local Wi-Fi, but support helped and everything was resolved.
