Installation is quick and easy. Simply scan the QR code on your phone to add the service beforehand, and you can connect to the network as soon as you arrive at your destination. The 3GB high-speed data per day is more than enough; in actual use, it's around 2GB per day.

Highly recommend for a Hokkaido trip! I chose Docomo's eSIM for my Hokkaido trip, and the signal was absolutely fantastic! From New Chitose Airport all the way to Sapporo, Otaru, and even driving to remote suburbs like Furano and Biei, the signal remained incredibly stable. I completed the setup in Taiwan by scanning a QR code, and as soon as I turned it on after landing, I was instantly connected to the internet. No need to change SIM cards or worry about losing the original one. Navigation, data searching, and activating mobile data restrictions were all incredibly smooth. I'll definitely buy it again next time I'm in Hokkaido!

I installed the esim into each iphone prior to leaving US. Upon landing, turned on the cell, turned off the US line and turned on the esim. Upon landing, while on the plane, the phone took a few minutes to find the service.  Upon returning home, the network recognized the change and prompted for a network update. When deleting the esim, one iphone's iMessage contacts disappeared, leaving only the phone numbers. The fix is to go to settings, turn off and on the iMessage toggle and everything returned. The internet service in Japan was fast and always stable. Just note, you cannot make phone calls.

The instructions are a bit confusing. The internet connection via eSIM works perfectly, but the speed noticeably drops occasionally when the limit isn't reached. It's not a big deal. I'll definitely be using it again in the future.

It was a very interesting trip to Japan, but I probably won't be going back anytime soon. My company's project there for this year has been successfully completed. Thanks to Ctrip for recommending the SIM card, the speed is so fast!
