I was able to use it without any problems in New Zealand (Christchurch and Omaru on the South Island)! It was very convenient, including being able to check how many hours were left until the trip ended on Trip.com! It was very cheap, but there were no issues with the functionality, and it worked smoothly, so I recommend it.
