Friends! When you come to Chengdu, you absolutely must experience Hong Ding Yan! 🤫Chengdu truly lives up to its reputation as a big city!! 😆I've seen it all!! It's newly opened near the South Gate of Chengdu! 👉🏻👉🏻It's like being transported back to the Tang Dynasty in an instant! Atmosphere: Dining at Hong Ding Yan gave me a truly imperial experience! So this is how ancient royalty and nobility had such a sense of ritual when they dined! Enjoying a bubbling hot pot while watching graceful dances – what a life! The dishes were served in sync with the performance, each one exquisitely presented, my eyes glued to the table. This isn't just ordinary food; it's a royal feast! Finally, I understand the true meaning of "wealth dazzles the eye." This relaxed yet lively atmosphere is the envy of everyone! However, the food could use some improvement. For that price, you should get something worthwhile.

We had an amazing time learning about Sichuan culture and cuisine plus Chengdu local life with Jerry. Upon meeting he took us to the neighbor market and walked us from stall to stall, explaining the uses/significance of seemingly every product around. Very comfortable experience. He clearly enjoys showing and explaining everything and nothing felt rushed while we took in the market. Then for the cooking class, we prepared three essentiap Sichuan dishes alongside Jerry and some school chefs who all walked us through the process. Everything was explained thoroughly and appropriately before starting and it came out great in the end. We came out satisfied with the experience and proud of the level of cooking we had produced! Perfect for people wanting to learn more about Sichuan food and the region as a whole. We knew a little about the cuisine prior to the class but learned a ton of new things in the process. We also felt that this is suitable for total newcomers too.

The driver was very cute, even though we couldn't understand each other. The driving style was very Chinese, so it was exciting. You can adjust the plan via WeChat to pick up first or drop off at the desired point. Coming with just the two of you, my mother, was a good trip. As for Bi Penggou, I personally felt it was normal for the ground, but flying a drone would have been very beautiful. It was raining on the day we went, so the sky wasn't clear, which was a shame. As for Du Jiang Yan, it was worth coming to stay, it's beautiful.

Our tour guide zoey was great company! The tour was at a comfortable pace and we had fun breaking the bamboo, cleaning and making the panda cake. We also managed to see the panda from their resting area close to an arm’s length distance! Totally worth the price for this once in a lifetime experience~
