[Auckland, New Zealand Chinese New Year Day Trip by Private Car: Heartwarming Service from a Fellow Town Driver + Great Value Off-the-Beaten-Path Route!] We brought our family to Auckland for Chinese New Year, and the private car rental market was unexpectedly booming! We inquired about the Glowworm Caves and Hobbiton tours 10 days in advance, but all tickets were sold out, and we couldn't even book a car. After contacting several travel agencies without success, we found this company as our last hope. Their customer service not only quickly arranged a vehicle but also customized a less-traveled natural scenic route combining Blue Spring, Huka Falls, and the Geothermal Park according to our needs—a lifesaver! The biggest surprise was our driver, Mr. Wang—who turned out to be from Shenyang! He chatted with us in Northeastern dialect the whole time, instantly bridging the gap. He was incredibly cheerful and proactively acted as a "part-time tour guide": teaching us to identify rare plants along the Blue Spring trail, pointing out the best photo angles at Huka Falls, and explaining the formation of geysers in detail at the Geothermal Park—even the children listened with rapt attention. What's even more thoughtful is that they accompanied us to each attraction, helping with the baby and luggage, and even brought their own hot water and snacks—the service was impeccable! Although the price was slightly higher than a regular chartered car, compared to other companies offering the same route, we found that their service included admission to the geothermal park (which costs NZ$35 per person separately), so the cost was practically negligible! This "ticket + chartered car" one-stop service was incredibly convenient during the Chinese New Year period. We didn't have to worry about transportation or itinerary planning, and my parents praised how relaxed and in-depth their trip was. Highly recommended for families with elderly members or children! Meeting a fellow countryman as our driver was a pleasant surprise, but their professional service was truly impressive. We'll definitely use them again next time we're in the North Island!
