Other visitors' reviews of Sky Tower
Show More ReviewsThe Auckland Sky Tower doesn't even rank among the top 20 tallest buildings in the world. It used 15,000 tons of cement and 2,000 tons of steel, with a foundation 12 meters deep. From the ground to its highest point, there are 1,267 steps. Together with the surrounding buildings, it forms Sky City, a complex integrating accommodation, dining, culture, and entertainment, attracting approximately 415,000 visitors annually and making it one of New Zealand's most important tourist attractions. From the top, one can fully experience Auckland's charm as the City of Sails. From here, you can see Auckland surrounded by the sea on three sides, where the city and nature are closely connected. Overlooking the harbor, Mount Eden offers views of volcanic landscapes and the city skyline. This blend of diverse cultures, maritime life, and urban vitality makes it an ideal starting point for exploring New Zealand's North Island, and a harbor city that combines a relaxing vacation with city strolls. In addition to revolving restaurants and cafes, the tower also offers the famous SkyWalk and SkyJump extreme sports experiences. The SkyWalk involves walking on a circular platform 192 meters high outside the tower.
