Great freedom during the visits; especially on the mountain where you have time for a hike if you wish. Mount Seorak was majestic, the Naksan temple magnificent. Steven, our guide, was kind, funny, interesting, and made our day unforgettable! Thank you so much to him for this experience.

This is my favorite activity so far in Seoul, and you absolutely must try it on your first day. The weather was sunny and bright, and I had a wonderful time throughout. The guide explained the surrounding history and culture, and we even got off the bus to explore the old streets. Walking around with a guide is so different from just wandering around on your own – it was totally worth it! It was excellent value for money, and I especially enjoyed the friendly greetings from strangers; I couldn't stop smiling! The photos they took of us were also beautiful; Koreans are really good at taking pictures! 👍🏻 Plus, they offer different routes and experiences depending on the season, so I've decided to try it every time I come to Korea with different friends!
Reviews: Seoul: Blood & Tears, Korea Dark History Guided Walking Tour

My guide Chuck gave a deep insight in the decades of struggle of the Korean people to get a real democracy after being oppressed and exploited for 35 years by a foreign nation. After that, military and authoritarian regimes succeeded each other for another 48 years. I learned that thanks to the unbreakable spirit and many sacrifices of the Korean civil society there's a democracy today. The tour touches many painful historic events that should never be forgotten. Halfway through the tour, the Tongin Market offered a delicious insight in Korean food. Chuck is a kind and knowledgeable guide.
