I was very satisfied with this trip to Katsuo-ji Temple! March and April are the perfect time for spring, with beautiful scenery. The itinerary was well-planned and efficient, without being rushed. The tour guide was professional and enthusiastic, providing detailed explanations that allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of the history and culture of Katsuo-ji Temple. Overall, the experience was relaxed and enjoyable.★

A long journey, but absolutely worth it. The views from the top were spectacular, and the chairlift ride added a fun touch. Exploring Amanohashidate itself was a highlight—I rented a bike from a local shop, and it easily beat walking. I managed to ride almost to the end of the island, which made the experience even better.
The boat ride was another memorable part, especially feeding the hawks and gulls along the way. Our guide, Jay, was engaging and genuinely fun, making the whole trip even more enjoyable. Really appreciate all the help—thank you!★

A big thumbs up to Uncle Big Head on WeChat on February 24th! He provided clear information, location, and photos in advance, and was very enthusiastic and meticulous in replying to questions and offering helpful reminders. His driving was very smooth and safe, and the itinerary and arrangement of the three attractions were well-planned. His descriptions of the attractions and restaurants were concise. All three attractions are traditional and representative, rich in local culture and history. Uncle Big Head deserves high praise for his itinerary planning.★

🌳 3 Must-Do Things at Amanohashidate
1️⃣ Climb to the top of "Umbrella Pine Park" for a bird's-eye view of the sandbar
→ Take the cable car to the top (round trip ¥720), and take a "reverse Fuji" composition from the viewpoint overlooking the sea.
→ Hidden spot: The west side of the observation deck at the top of the mountain offers a stunning view of the sandbar and the Aso Sea side-by-side!
2️⃣ Walk barefoot on the "Natural White Sand Beach"
→ Take off your shoes and walk on 2km of pure white sand. The seawater washing over your ankles at high tide is incredibly soothing.
→ Rent a bicycle (¥500/hour) and chase seagulls along the sandbar, feeling the shape of the wind.
3️⃣ Visit "Chieunji Temple" for amulets
→ Vermilion torii gates paired with century-old pine trees; seek amulets for academic success/marriage (from ¥800).
→ Touch the "Manjushri Wisdom Wheel" and spin it three times; legend says it will make you smarter!
