Ana Crowne Plaza Matsuyama
4.4/565 Reviews
The hotel is mainly for business guests, the supporting facilities are good and the staff can communicate in English. Unfortunately, there was hair on the towels in the room from the beginning, and the shower rack was also broken. But the staff were very helpful and provided another room for showering. The breakfast is good, and the hotel is isolated from Mitsukoshi and the shopping street. The hotel provides parking for 1,600 yen per day.
Daiwa Roynet Hotel Matsuyama

Corner room with extra bed, slightly small room, 2 suitcases can be opened, budget hotel is very affordable, cost-effective. Convenient location, shopping street is just outside, and Matsuyama Castle cable car station is within walking distance. Tai fish rice, eel rice, pork chop rice are all good at the corner. Parking is 1200 yen per night. The air conditioning system is not stable and a bit cold.
Shimanami PRIME HOTEL IMABARI

This hotel is very new, and it's only around 3 minutes walking distant away from the JR station. The lobby is very big with big windows and has many chairs for guest to sit and rest, there are also bike rack for you to lock the bike at the lobby. We were surprised to find out that there's welcome drinks and beer is also included. Our room was on one of the higher floor, so the view was beautiful. Breakfast was buffet style and was amazing, selection was great and delicious. Would definitely stay there again if we visit the area. The only downside is the staff doesn't understand English too well, but not too big of an issue when there's google translate.
Dogo Prince Hotel

We wanted to experience Dogo Onsen and this was a great choice (albeit expensive because it was a holiday weekend). The hotel is lovely and the service is beyond excellent. The staff was super kind as we are English speakers. Plus, we really enjoyed the hotels onsens better than the ones in town (the Dogo Onsen is being renovated and only one room was open for each gender; the same was the case with the Annex). The hotels onsens were lovely and the private outdoor onsen was a really lovely experience. We also took advantage of their convenient bus service into town although it’s only a 10 minute walk and we walked multiple times. Highly recommend!

Yamatoya Honten
4.5/557 Reviews
The location is good. Only 5 mins from the Dogo station and just beside Dogo Onsen. Room wise is not new, but clean and is still on a physical key system. The toilet has a bathtub and hot and cold water is using two tap scrolling system. I didn’t enjoy my sleep as there was a constant knocking sound at the closet which doesn’t seem to be from next door so it gives me the chills. Else it has its own Onsen and provides you with free sake and sweets. Overall I’ll give a 3.5 / 5 stars.
Funaya
4.8/561 Reviews
It is an old hotel in Dogo Onsen and has hosted members of the Japanese royal family. It is said that my friend worked here when he was studying in Matsuyama. The service is impeccable, valet parking, late breakfast is delivered to the room on time, and the room attendants are very proactive and enthusiastic
Hotel Taiyo Noen Nibancho
4.6/541 Reviews
Since it was a car transfer, it was attractive to have a place where you can enter and exit with 🅿️ (extra charge). Since it was all over the city, I was able to go home smoothly to the hotel after eating out at night. It is also recommended for women because it is strong in security. The tram is close to going to Dogo Onsen.
Hotel Crown Hills Matsuyama
4.1/552 Reviews
I’m very delighted to write a review on this hotel. It’s super good! The location is perfect: close to JR station and to Iyo tetsu to explore the city. The hotel provides everything you need and extra: different types of shampoo, body cream etc… I really enjoyed breakfast: it has traditional Japanese dishes, so delicious!! Would like to get back to Matsuyama and stay at this hotel again
