Yulantang is on the shore of Kunming Lake in the Summer Palace. It was built in Qing Qianlong in 15 years (1750), and rebuilt in the Guangxu period (1875 - 1908). It is the bedding palace of Emperor Guangxu. After the failure of the Guangxu 24 years (1898), Cixi once banned Guangxu.
