Hengshui Lake Review

At about 10 am on September 3, 2020, we ended our tour of the ancient town of Yuli, returned by bus No. 18 and got off at the park Expo Park. The park is located on the bank of Hengshui Lake. After getting off the bus, the road east is the park Expo Park, and the road west is Hengshui Lake. A color bridge hanging above the highway combines the two, and you can enjoy the two scenic spots together. We chose to go to Hengshui Lake first, and the entrance of Hengshui Lake was reached by the color bridge. The scenic spot does not charge tickets. It is one of the popular public products in Hengshui City. Hengshui Lake, commonly known as "Qianqingwa", also known as "Qianqingwa Reservoir", 75 square kilometers of lake (57 square kilometers in Zhangzhou, 18 square kilometers in Taocheng District). The area and water storage scale are second only to Baiyangdian, and it is the second largest freshwater lake in the North China Plain. In July 2000, it was approved by the State Forestry Administration and the provincial government as a provincial nature reserve for Hengshui Lake Wetland and Birds in Hebei Province. In June 2003, it was approved as a national nature reserve. Hengshui Hubei Yihengshui City, Nanlian Zhangzhou Ancient City, the lake area of 75 square kilometers, is the largest freshwater lake in North China, national nature reserve, national water conservancy scenic area, is also a very scarce and typical national important wetland. It has important ecological service functions such as conserving water sources, purifying air, degrading pollution, and maintaining biodiversity, which has a direct impact on regulating the climate and ecological quality of Beijing, Tianjin and Shanghai. It is known as the "first lake in Beijing South", "the most beautiful wetland in Beijing, Tianjin and Shanghai", "North China Green Pearl", and "East Asian sapphire". Hengshui Lake is rich in species. It is a gathering place of flora and fauna in the northern temperate zone. There are 383 species of plants, 34 species of fish, 416 species of insects, 17 species of amphibious reptiles, 20 species of mammals, and 310 species of birds in the lake area. Among them, 7 species of red-crowned cranes, white cranes, oriental white egrets, black egrets, big egrets, golden eagles, white shoulder carvings and other protected birds in the national Ⅱ class protected birds, big swans, small swans, 46 kinds of oysters, white pillow cranes, gray cranes and so on. Hengshui Lake has a long history. According to legend, it is the "scratch" left by Daqi Zhishui. The south bank of Zhangzhou was the "head of Kyushu", and Hebei's abbreviation "yellow" originated from this. According to the examination, many rivers such as the ancient Yellow River, the ancient Weihe River, the ancient Weihe River and the Xiangyang River have flowed here, and they have been stretching for a hundred miles and endless. In the end of the East Han Dynasty, Yu Shao and Cao Cao had practiced the water army here. Today, there are still many ancient rivers and ancient cultural relics in the lake area. In January 2016, the National Tourism Administration and the Ministry of Environmental Protection proposed to identify Hengshui Lake Scenic Area in Hengshui City, Hebei Province as a national ecological tourism demonstration area, a national 4A-level scenic spot. Hengshui Lake Scenic Area includes Sansheng Island, Meihua Island, Bird Watching Island, Reeds, Lotus Dang, Fishing Village and other major attractions. You can reach by boat, only buy tickets, but most tourists are only visiting the lake and lotus pond. It is said that the tour experience of the island on the boat is not cost-effective, so we are just walking around the lake.
