Monet Gardens is located 88 km northwest of Paris, belonging to the province of Upper Normandy. In 1883, Monet was attracted by the train and moved here. For 43 years, Monet spent half of his life here, writing countless works. Monet called himself “the garden is my most beautiful work.”
