有“京西小故宫”之称的万寿寺终于在9月中旬重新开放了，节前和国庆假期可是十分难约呢，于是一直拖到节后还是找了个工作日才算是在公众号上预约成功，才有机会过来探古迹、赏藏品。这万寿寺在西三环边上，高粱河北岸，唐朝就有了，那时候叫“聚瑟寺”；后来明朝万历年间太后拿出自己的私房钱重修，并改名“万寿寺”，其实也是李太后借此向万历皇帝表明自己一向向佛无心干政，所以这也就成了皇家敕建的寺院。万寿寺在明代时的主要用途是藏经，后来清朝顺治、康熙、乾隆、光绪都曾再次重修，乾隆还曾三次在寺中为母亲祝寿，光绪更是把万寿寺作为了行宫。另外现存于北三环大钟寺里的永乐大钟原先也曾存放于万寿寺中，乾隆时才迁走。到了近现代，万寿司曾被用于俘虏营、收容所、学校、幼儿园等用途，上世纪八十年代，终于建成“北京艺术博物馆”，展品以明清时的艺术品、字画为主。 万寿寺是一座七进的宏伟寺院，大殿、偏殿众多，殿宇建筑巍峨庄严，不过由于火灾、兵乱等原因，殿中的神像所剩不多，殿宇多数改建成了展厅，如今到万寿寺来除了观赏皇家寺院的建筑以外，更主要的是参观众多展厅中的文物展品。展览包括好几个主题，其中有几个很吸引人。比如清代帝王和皇室成员的字画展览，可以欣赏到清朝历代皇帝的书法造诣，其中顺治帝画的钟馗像、慈禧写的福寿让人印象深刻，这个主题有好几个展厅，有兴趣可以细细地观赏。还有个主题是汉传佛教与藏传佛教的佛像展览，还有个缂丝技艺的展览，还有明清家具展，等等的吧，总之展览内容十分丰富。另外还有一个红旗渠主题的展览，不知道为什么会设在这里，与万寿寺或者是艺术博物馆的主题不知道有何关联。七进寺院的东侧是方丈院，和一片园子，园子南部正在施工，想必以前是僧人的住处；寺院西侧目前全部没有开放，看介绍应该是行宫区，以前皇上住的地方，不知道以后会不会开放，等开放了一定会再来看看。 今天看到了很多“重量级”的文物，据说整个万寿寺收藏的文物有十几万件之多，而且很多与皇家有关，实在是规格相当高的展览，难怪这里明明是座寺院却可以作为“艺术博物馆”面世。虽然今天是工作日，但游客依然非常多，早上九点前等待入馆的游客就排起了长队，其中很多老年人脖子上挂着十分专业的相机，现在这种古迹开放得越来越多，大家可以看的地方也越来越丰富了。
