Don't miss out, the quaint town of Szentendre is a must-visit for every art lover, brimming with a rich artistic atmosphere!
⛳ You may not have heard of the Hungarian town of Szentendre, but you should know Jolin Tsai's music video 'Madrid Wonders', right? The filming location for this MV is in Szentendre. Due to the local pronunciation being similar to 'Shandan Dan', it is also known as 'Shandan Dan'.
⛩️ Szentendre is located around Budapest, Hungary, about 20 kilometers from Budapest, with the Danube River flowing through it, accompanied by blooming flowers and evergreen trees, offering a picturesque landscape.
🏕️ In the 14th century, a large number of Serbian and Greek wandering artists came to this paradise-like town to escape wars. Among them were painters, sculptors, and various craftsmen, who gradually developed and created a unique cultural and architectural style. By the end of the 19th century, it attracted many Hungarian painters to this charming town. Now, it is one of Hungary's most important tourist destinations and the 'exhibition hall' of the Hungarian modern art movement.
✔️ Check-in Tips:
1⃣️ It's best to set your own position when visiting the central square to avoid getting lost. Here you can find a Baroque cross monument (built in 1736), the town's residents are mostly Orthodox Christians, and the streets are lined with Baroque and Rococo buildings, quiet and serene, with an ancient charm.
2️⃣ The town's colorful houses are closely packed, each house and shop has its own style, bright and lively. Wandering through the winding alleys paved with cobblestones, it's easy to get lost in the charm.
3⃣️ The town is very quiet in the morning, with only the wind and flowers slipping by, as if transcending the mundane world, not only forgetting the troubles of life but also making for great photos.
4⃣️ The town is small, but it is home to various churches, craft shops, galleries, workshops, museums, bars, cafes, etc., most of which open around 10:00. At this time, buying some small goods and idly sipping coffee is extremely pleasant.
5⃣️ Taking a walk along the Danube River is also very nice, with beautiful lakes and mountains pleasing to the eye. There are some long benches where you can sit down and listen to the sounds of nature, waiting for the breeze to caress your face and the birds to sing delightfully.
6⃣️ The town's cuisine is also worth looking forward to. I only browsed for over 2 hours and left before noon.
7⃣️ Transportation: From Batthyany ter (Metro Red Line M2) subway station in Budapest (transfer inside the station), take the HEV suburban train H5 to the end, then walk to your destination.
St. Andrew's food and wine
This trip is mainly about country food and wine. On the first day of the trip, take the train to the characteristic town around Budapest to find out what is delicious and delicious! Saint-Andr is only 19 km from Budapest and can be easily reached by train in about 40 minutes. I walked from the apartment to the Matthuyanyter station of the M2 subway station and changed to HEV. I bought a round-trip joint ticket at the first floor window. The fare is 310ft. There are many shuttle buses every day. Don't worry about not getting it. Sitting on the HEV5 is always sitting. The terminal is in the town.
About 40 minutes to the small train station in the town's village head, there is an underground passage after the exit, there will be many beautiful houses through the passage, this road is to go to the town The only way to go is to walk to the center of the town for 10 minutes. It may be that the winter weather is too cold. Very few tourists are quiet in the whole town, but it also shows its original appearance.
The city of Szentendre (Szentendre is called Shandandan) is located between Budapest and Viequada. It takes about 30 minutes to drive from Vienglad or drive from Budapest. It takes about 50 minutes by train. If you want to say that the artistic atmosphere is undoubtedly the most representative place of Hungary, the writers and artists here are also the best.
Take a leisurely stroll here and find a restaurant by the seaside Shandandan, a bowl of Hungarian famous Guyash soup beef soup, a bowl of fish soup, a glass of Hungary's most famous red wine - "Blood's blood", bread is delivered free of charge, per capita 5 euros. High level professionalism and knowledge about Doha most important landmark, in the same time friendly and hostility. Watching the 2022 World Cup was one of the best things of my life.
