🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
Visiting Wuhan University during cherry blossom season was a breathtaking experience that left me in awe of the beauty of nature. The university's campus, already renowned for its stunning architecture and lush greenery, transforms into a scene straight out of a fairytale during this time of year. 🌸🌿
As I walked through the campus, I was surrounded by a sea of pink and white cherry blossoms, their delicate petals fluttering in the breeze. 🌸 The trees, which line the pathways and frame the historic buildings, create a stunning contrast against the blue sky, making for a truly picturesque setting. 🏛️
One of the most enchanting spots on campus was the Cherry Blossom Avenue, a tree-lined path that stretches for nearly a kilometer. Walking down this avenue, with the cherry blossoms in full bloom overhead, was a serene and magical experience that I will never forget. 🚶♀️🚶♂️
In addition to the beauty of the cherry blossoms themselves, the atmosphere on campus during this time was joyful and festive. 🎉 Students and visitors alike gathered under the trees to admire the blooms, take photos, and enjoy the beauty of the season. 📸🌸
Overall, visiting Wuhan University during cherry blossom season was a delight for the senses. The cherry blossoms in Wuhan will romantically bloom across the city in March, along with a cherry blossom viewing guide
Wuhan's spring is just too beautiful, with cherry blossoms blooming everywhere, whether it's by the roadside, at bus stations, in parks, or at universities, you can enjoy this romantic scenery. If you don't believe it, why not take a trip and experience it for yourself? I've put together the latest 2024 cherry blossom viewing guide for everyone, so be sure to save it! 👏
🌸 East Lake Cherry Garden (admission fee): The garden has over ten thousand cherry trees and is an excellent place to view cherry blossoms in Wuhan. Despite the constant flow of people, the beauty of the cherry garden is still captivating. Currently, only the early cherry blossoms are in bloom, and to see the whole garden in full bloom, you'll have to wait until around March 20th.
🌸 Wuhan University (free but reservation by phone 📱 required): Early cherry blossoms have bloomed near Luojia Villa and the entrance of Teaching Building 5, but they have started to wither, while the cherry blossoms near Cherry Blossom Castle have not yet bloomed, but the buds are already visible, expected to bloom around March 20th.
🌸 Xibeihu Square (free): There are about 500 cherry trees by the lake, where you can take photos of the romantic cherry blossom avenue, full of ambiance.
🌸 Xiyuan Park (free): There are several large cherry trees on the lakeside green lawn, suitable for picnics, and you can take pictures of the beautiful scenery of cherry blossoms and the lake.
🌸 Turtle Mountain Park (free): The hillside is covered with pink cherry blossoms, and although the trees are slightly smaller, the blooming scene is equally charming. Here you can take photos of the cherry blossoms with the Turtle Mountain TV Tower 🗼 in the same frame, and from the top, you can see the Parrot Island Bridge, the Yangtze River Bridge, the Yellow Crane Tower, and other famous sights.
🌸 Qingchuan Pavilion (free): Located opposite Turtle Mountain, you can check in here as well. The cherry trees here blend perfectly with the surrounding environment, and the photo effect has a strong Japanese style.
Before taking photos, why not visit Grandpa Doesn't Make Tea, a flower-themed store, to buy this year's new cherry blossom 🌸 products, available in three flavors: Spring Return·Cherry Blossom, Spring Return·Cherry Snow, and Spring Return·Cherry Longan. I tried the Cherry Longan, and with each sip, you can taste the sweetness of the longan fruit, and the fragrant milk tea pairs perfectly with 'Fresh Flowers'. Hurry up and take a photo with the cherry blossoms - my heart, I just can't let go ❤
It's suggested that everyone plan to come to Wuhan to view the cherry blossoms around March 20th. Due to the impact of freezing rain, the blossoms this year are relatively late, so plan your time wisely, Wuhan definitely won't disappoint you!

the best place for sakura 🌸 hunting: WU
Widely regarded as the most beautiful university campus in China, Wuhan celebrating its 130th anniversary (1893-2023) this year opens up to visitors for the first time since pandemic controls and shutdowns. 🌸 so this year is extremely hard to get in the booking reservation system, but it's all worth it.
Its indeed one of the best places in China to enjoy the canopy of white and pink blossoms.. due to its location where the first planted cherry blossoms seeds from Japan. The more than 2,000 cherry trees are currently in full bloom on the university campus. Follow the crowds heading to the old. dormitory buildings in classical Chinese style where the romance fills the air from the arrays of sakura trees leading up the historic university library.. it's truly a sight to behold..
If the crowd is a little too much, why not take a rest and feast the eyes by sitting at the large field overlooking the magnificient university's administration building housing the president's office. It's also one of the must see spot within the university ground.
Last but not least, it's all depends on luck and days you choose to visit, again because it needs booking reservation to enter the university. Hope the blooming of cherry blossoms a.k.a the sakura 🌸continue bring you luck and this year's affinity for a better future..

Cherry-Blossom in Wuhan University
Spring time - Cherry blossom time. One of the most beautiful spring cherry blossom 🌸 I saw in China was in Wuhan university.
Wuhan university is one of the oldest universities in Wuhan and China and in the middle of the city. The cherry flowers matches the hundred-year-old buildings on campus. Pink and white flower petals decorate the red windows and green upper tiles.
🎟️ It's for free, but you might have to register before, as it's quite popular and well known in Wuhan and Hubei province.
🌸 When? March and April every year.

Picturesque ambiance
Still fresh in the memories the picturesque beauty of Wuhan university🏛️. Considered as one of the top 985/211 university, I would include this in the top 3 ranking of my personal favorite; for the whole environment of the campus. Flanked one side by the mountain 🏞️ and the other side by East lake (yes, they have 东湖 here). Running 🏃 around the campus everyday, will by itself make you fit and then get back to study. Lot of rented cycles 🚴 are also available inside for your perusal. Feel free to go, hike 🥾 and interact with the students and people working there; it was really nice to talk to them about everyday living in there. Definitely a go to place, if you're visiting Wuhan in the near future. #wuhantravel

📍Xiao Guan Yuan, Wuhan University
My boyfriend’s grandparents used to be the professors in this university, that’s why until now they still live here. Since grandpa is so old it’s hard for him to go outside, we always eat here everytime i pay a visit to see them.
This restaurant is a Chinese resto and i really like most of their food. We always order the salad (1st picture). The dressing sauce is so delicious, sour, sweet and garlicky. Highlight of the meal today was the Shanghai braised pork (5th picture). It’s so tasty omg. Ive never had this before in this restaurant. I ate a lot, i even took away because we couldn’t finish it.😋

📍LuoJia Café, Wuhan
Another hidden gem in Wuhan. Located in Wuhan University, in front of Wuhan University’s kindergarten no. 1. These pictures were taken before this cafe got renovated. I prefer the old decoration. seemed cozy and homey. I knew this place from my boyfriend. They used to brew a really strong coffee depended on what you ordered. But now, they have changed the menu.
This small vintage coffee shop is located inside Wuhan University. I came here when it was cold outside. Ordered some hot chocolate and hot tea. So warming and relaxing. They had some cats inside the shop. If i’m not mistaken, this place also sells some plants.
Wuhan University is one of the places you cannot miss if you’re in Wuhan. It’s so pretty especially during autumn and spring. If you come to Wuhan during spring, you can see some cherry blossom here. It’s always a crowded place during this season. People come from all over China to take pictures with the famous Wuhan University cherry blossom season.
Spring is just right, rushing to the spring of the Wuda cherry blossom season, a spring ~
enjoy a spring rain gift of cherry blossoms, stained with a floral.
The people of the whole country took a high-speed train to Wuda. It is the dream of every cherry blossom in Wuda
the domestic cherry blossom season. The convenience of transportation has brought the people of the whole country to Wuhan. The annual Wuda Cherry Blossom Festival has experienced the collection of tickets and double the ticket fees. Free appointments for each journey, the only constant is the increasing flow of people. Closed management will be officially implemented on March 21, and public reservations must be made when the public enters the campus. As a century-old school with all the profound historical and cultural heritage, it is particularly eye-catching during the opening of the cherry blossoms. "The cherry blossoms in March, only Wu Da", the old village of the Potala Palace in Wuhan is built on the mountain, and the vision is very broad. It is also known as the Sakura Castle, the earliest student residence of Wuhan University, with rare Roman voucher arches and a hundred steps. A group of classical buildings with nearly 100 years of history, such as the old administrative building, have jointly supported the cultural and historical heritage of Wuda. There are more than 1,000 cherry blossoms on the campus of Wuda University. The 28 "national shameful flowers" left by the Japanese invaders in the past have long since died. Now it is the new generation of cherry blossoms that the Wu Daren cultivated and breeds, and the Japanese friends who resumed diplomatic relations between China and Japan. The "Flower of Friendship" presented many times.
For Wu Da Sakura, there are many different voices now. Some say that you dont have to be far-reaching. So flying in the sky, taking the high-speed rail to see the cherry blossoms, affecting the normal teaching and research order, only returning the tranquility to the campus. Wu Da Sakura is a truly beautiful cherry blossom. Some people say that colleges and universities rely on their own landscape advantages to attract attention and admiration throughout the country. It is a good brand promotion, enriching the culture of the school and improving social awareness. What do you think?
Every March, the cherry blossoms in Wuhan begin to bloom, adding a romantic atmosphere to the entire city. There are many places in Wuhan where cherry blossoms are grown. Among them, Wuhan University is very popular among people. In this century-old university, the old buildings with blue roofs of tiffany and pink-white cherry blossoms complement each other.
Give everyone some tips for coming to Wu Da Ying Sakura:
1. Sakura time: March 21, 2019 - April 4
2. Time: Visitors need to make a real-name appointment before they can enter Wuda. The appointment can be made 3 days in advance, and the appointment channel can be opened at 8:00 every night. The number of open appointments is 15,000/day on weekdays and 30,000/day on weekends.
3. Where to find the appointment channel: There are 4 reservation channels this year - Wuhan University official Weibo, Wuhan University public number, wisdom, vibrato, I personally feel that the appointment on the public number is the most convenient.
4. How to enter the school for verification: This year, Wuda still only opens 6 school gates for tourists - the main entrance (the door with the archway), the west gate, the tea port, the Wenyumen, the east gate and the central entrance. Visitors can pass the 6 gates to check into the school; cherry blossoms need to be verified twice, once into the school gate, once into the cherry blossom core area, and everyone remembers to bring the documents used for the appointment.
When the cherry blossoms are in full bloom from mid-March to early April each year, a grand cherry blossom festival will be held on campus. Thousands of tourists will gather in this campus for the sake of cherry blossoms. Walk on the cherry blossom avenue and watch the cherry blossom petals slowly fall with the wind.
Wu Sakura blooms in mid-March every year, and it is the most prosperous in the latter part of the year. The flowering period is short, only about 13-20 days.

May Day Parent-Child Tour | Here comes the 4-day leisurely tour guide of Wuhan
Here comes the 4-day leisurely tour guide of Wuhan. For the May Day trip, just go on a whim
Landing in Wuhan, staying in a riverside hotel, the room offers a 180-degree river view, which is super cool
Had several popular Hubei cuisine meals and visited the internet-famous Fat Fat Shrimp House, experienced the 'guo zao' culture. To be honest, I think the taste is okay, but it's not worth it if you have to queue.
The day we went to the Yellow Crane Tower was relatively less crowded. If you bring kids, you can take the elevator up. Actually, there's not much to see on top, it's just about climbing high and looking far. But the night view is pretty for photos, very atmospheric. Worth visiting various check-in spots to take beautiful pictures
You must book the Hubei Provincial Museum in advance, and remember to grab the tickets for the bell performance in the morning for the same day. I really don't want to queue to see the swords anymore, too many people, you can rent explanatory glasses. Only managed to get tickets for the 14:00 bell performance, felt sleepy after lunch haha, but the performance was good. Gu Temple and Li Huang Pi Road are indeed crowded with people taking photos, if you go late, it's all about seeing heads hehehe. At the entrance of Wuhan University, someone will ask if you want a ride to the top with a guide and then back, 200r, the guide lasts about an hour, and they can also help us take photos. Mainly because we were short on time, so a quick tour of the highlights was not bad. East Lake is really big, also took a sightseeing bus for a quick look haha.

Enjoying the cherry blossoms at Wuhan University, observing the cultural history
🌟 Highlights:
When it comes to the cherry blossoms in Wuhan, the most famous are those at Wuhan University. The cherry blossoms at Wuhan University represent a fusion of culture and scenery. Standing beside the majestic school buildings, in front of the green roofs and red windows, culture permeates the scenery, and the scenery highlights the culture. At the foot of Mirror Lake, they bloom independently.
The cherry blossoms at Wuhan University have been planted since 1939, mainly consisting of Japanese cherry, mountain cherry, weeping Higan cherry, and double-flowered cherry trees. The most flourishing spot is halfway up the hill in the Wuhan University Cherry Garden, starting from the stone gate of the garden, passing by the old dormitories at the top of the hill and Lovers' Slope, and ending at the School of Journalism and Communication. Under the shelter of glazed tiles, the 600-meter Cherry Blossom Avenue is a riot of falling blossoms, with the spring breeze intoxicating visitors.
📝 Tips:
There are three blooming periods for cherry blossoms in Wuhan. The full bloom period is the most recommended, but it also attracts the most visitors, so it's advisable to plan your trip in advance.
Early bloom period: March 10th—15th
Full bloom period: March 16th-26th
Late bloom period: Early April
🚉 Transportation Strategy:
Transportation during the cherry blossom season at Wuhan University:
During the cherry blossom season, motor vehicles are not allowed to enter Wuhan University, and the area around the university and the Cherry Garden is exceptionally congested. It is recommended to use public transportation.
During the cherry blossom season, the university sets up 'reservation passages for visitors' at the main gate, Tea Harbor Gate, Wenlan Gate, and Luonan Gate, while other gates are closed to traffic. If you also want to appreciate the old gate of Wuhan University, you can take the route from the main gate on Bayi Road. Get off at the 'Jiedaokou' station on Metro Line 2 or 8, and you can walk to the main gate of Wuhan University.
Spring arrives in the river city, and the cherry blossoms bloom - it's cherry blossom season at Wuhan University
Each spring, I am always drawn to Wuhan University by a certain attraction. There, not only is there a feast of spring colors, but also the sight of my beloved cherry blossoms in full bloom.
The Cherry Blossom Avenue is the first place I check in. The cherry trees there are like a pink ribbon, decorating the entire campus as if it were a poetic painting. Walking on Cherry Blossom Avenue, I feel as though I have stepped into a painting filled with cherry blossoms, where the petals falling with the wind are like the gentle snowflakes of spring.
Next, I head to the Cherry Top. There, I can see the perfect fusion of cherry blossoms with the century-old bell tower. That witness of history, set against the backdrop of cherry blossoms, appears even more solemn and sacred, as if it were narrating stories of the past.
I sit quietly under the cherry trees, looking up at the sea of pink and white blossoms. Watching those falling petals slowly take root in the soil, I know that new life is sprouting, and a new spring is coming.
This is the Wuhan spring in my eyes, this is the cherry blossom of Wuhan University. I hope more people can come here, see this beauty, feel this tranquility, because this is spring, this is Wuhan, this is the cherry blossom of Wuhan University.

Wuhan University
"It is only in Chu that talents are found, and it is here that they flourish." I really like this couplet from the Yuelu Academy, and coming to Wuhan University, I am somehow reminded of it. Wuhan University traces its origins to the Self-Strengthening School founded by Zhang Zhidong in 1893, was named National Wuhan University in 1928, renamed Wuhan University in 1949, and was designated as a national key comprehensive university in 1960. As one of China's oldest universities, Wuhan University is known as "the most beautiful university campus".
I like the 'Luojia Ode', and I also like the Wuhan University anthem. Unable to make an appointment to visit the Cherry Blossom Avenue, I can only wander around other parts of Wuhan University, listen to the school song, and observe the bustling students.
Fortunately, I can visit the Wanlin Museum on the Wuhan University campus. "Mountain shapes and water boundaries" are the natural environmental characteristics of the Wuhan University campus, and the Wanlin Museum is located right at the heart of the campus. Visiting the museum, one can learn about the university's history, appreciate ancient artifacts, and pay homage to great figures.
