Sizzling Summer at the Taj Mahal 🕌
Visiting the Taj Mahal in the height of summer (May) was an unforgettable adventure, but boy, was it hot! Located on the outskirts of the city of Agra, we got a private driver from our hotel to bring us on the 3 hour journey (one-way) to the Taj Mahal from Delhi. It sure was a long ride but as one of the iconic landmarks in India, we could not miss it for the world.
The summer sun beat down mercilessly on us as we explored the majestic marble wonder. The scorching heat really made it difficult to fully appreciate the mesmerising beauty of the Taj Mahal. We sought refuge in the shade whenever we could, but the heat was relentless.
Nonetheless, I was left in awe by the intricate details and symmetrical design. Seeing such an iconic symbol of love and architecture was worth it. I'll always remember the shimmering white dome against the blue sky and the feeling of wonder it inspired, even amidst the sweltering summer heat.

Lived up to it's expectation as a wonder of the world. The story behind the mausoleum is very sad but demonstrated a different world. We went on the anniversary of the kings death which meant we could see extra things and this was lucky for us! Stunning
It's really worth being as one of the seven wonders. The place is very well maintained for the past centuries. There are so many photo shooting spots. Don't forget to make a visit on the opposite side of the river bank to enjoy the panoramic view of Taj Mahal.
Spare 2-3 hours for a visit to see the detail of marble art. India is really the place for marbles. No wonder the King could build such a beautiful monument of L❤️VE. There is always a different story of the history.
By the way, the purchased ticket could be used for discount at other attractions in Agra. Keep it well.
The Taj Mahal, located in India, is a magnificent structure. With its splendid white marble and intricate details, it is regarded as a monument that captivates visitors. Visiting this monument, with its mesmerizing beauty and significant historical importance, is truly an unforgettable experien

Taj Mahal Agra India Amazing Building
#timetotravel
Taj Mahal is widely considered one of the most beautiful buildings ever created. The exquisite marble structure in Agra, India, is a mausoleum, an enduring monument to the love of a husband for his favorite wife. It's also an eternal testament to the artistic and scientific accomplishments of a wealthy empire.
Shah Jahan, “the King of the World,” took control of the Mughal Empire throne in 1628 very much in love with the queen he dubbed Mumtaz Mahal or “Chosen One of the Palace.” The poets at Agra’s Mughal court said her beauty was such that the moon hid its face in shame before her.
The Mughals were at the peak of their power and wealth during Shah Jahan’s reign, and India’s rich lode of precious gems yielded him much wealth and power. But he was powerless to stop Mumtaz Mahal’s death during childbirth in 1631. Legend has it that she bound him with a deathbed promise to build her the most beautiful tomb ever known.
Tranquil Mehtab Bagh: Taj Mahal's Viewpoint
During my visit to Agra, I made sure to add the Mehtab Bagh viewpoint to my itinerary. The gardens are well-maintained and provide a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. It's an ideal spot to relax and take in the beauty of the Taj Mahal from across the river.
The Mehtab Bagh viewpoint offers a unique vantage point to admire the Taj Mahal, with the river Yamuna flowing between the two landmarks. I was struck by how serene and beautiful the scene was, and it truly captured the essence of the Mughal era.
The best part about visiting the Mehtab Bagh viewpoint is that it is much less crowded than other viewpoints in Agra, such as the Agra Fort or the Taj Ganj area. I found it to be a peaceful spot that allowed me to admire the Taj Mahal at my own pace without the distractions of large crowds.
Overall, I highly recommend visiting the Mehtab Bagh viewpoint to anyone who wants to experience the beauty of the Taj Mahal from a different perspective. It's a tranquil and picturesque setting that will leave you with a sense of peace and wonder.#urbanexplorer #awesomepic

Monument of Love - TAJ MAHAL 🇮🇳
Taj Mahal is one of the most iconic architecture and monument in the world. Seeing it in person is something that is really unforgettable. No doubt it is one of the 7 wonders of the world. Im very happy to be ticking this off from my bucket list.
Entrance Fee: For a foreign tourist , you have to pay 1300 Rupees and that includes getting into the mausoleum.
Getting There - India is very cheap to travel around so we only hired a private car and a driver to drive us from Jaipur. You can also take a train from Delhi or from Jaipur.
Hotel - We stayed at Hotel Royale Regent. You can easily book a room from trip.com app.
‼️TIPS
Go there as early as you can especially if you are planning to buy a ticket by the gate. I recommend you to make yout eay there before sunrise so you'd be ahead of everyone else. Great opportunities for picture taking without a lot of tourists photo bombing you.

Elegance of Mughal Architecture"
Mughal architecture is a style of architecture developed in India during the Mughal Empire, which lasted from the 16th to the 19th century. This architectural style is known for its grandeur, elegance, and use of intricate details and decorations.
One of the most notable examples of Mughal architecture is the Taj Mahal, a mausoleum that was built by Emperor Shah Jahan for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. The Taj Mahal is a masterpiece of Mughal architecture, with its white marble exterior adorned with intricate carvings, calligraphy, and precious stones.
Another famous example of Mughal architecture is the Red Fort in Delhi, which was also built by Emperor Shah Jahan. The Red Fort is a sprawling complex that includes palaces, gardens, and pavilions, all built in the classic Mughal style. The red sandstone walls of the fort are adorned with delicate carvings, and the interior of the palace is decorated with intricate inlay work and ornate frescoes.
Mughal architecture is also known for its use of symmetry and balance, as seen in the layout of the gardens and water features in many Mughal structures. The use of light and shadow is another characteristic of Mughal architecture, with many structures featuring intricate latticework and screens that filter light and create a play of light and shadow.

India is a beautiful spot for a holiday if planned well! For us, we went via tour to Agar, jaipur and the red Fort via a private tour thruout the entire journey and it was remarkable!
The Taj Mahal is one of the highlight of this trip where its located in Agar, Uttar Pradesh a remarkable iconic monument in India. The entire complex is approx 50 football size field and it all started with a love story of the fifth emperor who built it to remember his wife, Mumtaz Mah, a muslim princess and currently both emperor and princess is buried in Taj Mahal but a replica of the tomb is accessible to the public.
Do take note that, when entering The Taj Mahal no shoes and phototaking are allowed to ensure there is no disrespect towards both the emperor and princess who are laid to rest there.

Tajmahal is one of the Wonder out of seven wonders. It’s made up of white marble and located in Agra, India. Shah Jahan was the fifth ruler of the Mughal dynasty. During his third regnal year, his favorite wife, known as Mumtaz Mahal, died due to complications arising from the birth of their fourteenth child. Deeply saddened, the emperor started planning the construction of a suitable, permanent resting place for his beloved wife almost immediately. The result of his efforts and resources was the creation of what was called the Luminous Tomb in contemporary Mughal texts and is what the world knows today as the Taj Mahal. #beautifuldestinations #passionpassport #traveladdict

On the right bank of Yamuna river of Agra, sits the majestic ivory-white marble mausoleum. Known to be one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, The Taj Mahal is the icon and a must-visit place in India.
I was on an overseas immersion trip in 2011 when I visited this heritage site with the school, I had no idea what’s the itinerary is all about but of course, I’m amazed we are here. I find it a pity I didn’t cherish travel moments better back then and took more shots of this Wonderful place.
Looking back, it really touches my heart knowing I’ve ever stepped foot on such a masterpiece building.
It is located in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India.
How to get there: Nearest airport would be Agra airport, from there you can hail a Taxi, it would take less than an hour to reach.

Moments at The Taj Mahal Palace, India
The white mausoleum for Shah Jahan’s third wife is a timeless, ingenious work of art. Decorative carvings, stone inlays and mosaics inspire awe of Mughal culture.
The Taj Mahal Conceived by grieving Emperor Shah Jahan for his deceased wife, the marble mausoleum was built over 22 years, involving tens of thousands of stone workers and European inlay experts. Discover its beauty at daybreak as dawn colors light up the white marble.
Enter through red sandstone gates decorated with Quran inscriptions. As you approach, notice the symmetry of the complex, from the structures standing on either side of the mausoleum to the layout of the canals and gardens.
Sitting atop a raised base, the Taj Mahal’s only background is the sky. The huge dome and towering minarets cast a stunning silhouette at dawn. Throughout the day the marble seems to change color with the angle of the sun. Some say the grandiosity of the building was intended to represent the glory of the Mughals.
Look up to notice carved arches with gemstone flowers and calligraphy set into the marble. Once inside, listen for echoes created by the shape of the dome; this ensured prayer would reverberate before fading away. In the octagonal main hall, cenotaphs of the Shah and his wife stand amid mosaics and marble screens with spectacular gemstone inlays. The shah’s tomb is not symmetrical, as his intentions for a mausoleum of his own were thwarted when his son seized power.
Get an in-depth history of this remarkable place, including architectural plans, in the Taj Museum located in the western mosque. Here you’ll find examples of artworks, weapons, literature and craftsmanship from the time of Shah Jahan.
Photography is not allowed inside the mausoleum. It is closed to tourists on Fridays. Electric buses, which help reduce smog levels, take you from the ticket office to the monument. Tickets are reasonably priced and discounted for Indian nationals. Your ticket includes entry to nearby Agra Fort.
