Yellow Season in Pulau Padar
Padar Island is an extraordinary place. The scenery there is very beautiful. The mountains, the sky and the sea make a perfect combination.
If you want to go to Padar Island, you should go early in the morning so that it doesn't get too hot when you climb. Also provide drinking water so you don't get thirsty.
Many photo areas are beautiful but some of them are dangerous. Make sure you take the photo carefully so you don't fall over.

Sunrise in Padar Island
Great place to see sunrise with spectacular view on the island..
We need to hike approximately 300 steps. Prepare your stamina! The best time to see is actually for sunrise, but I hiked for sunset instead. Turns out that was better, bcs there was literally no one else. It felt like a private island. So we don’t need to queue for taking photos.

Padar Island
The beautiful island in Komodo National Park. Must visit here even though no exist of Komodo Dragon. Such beautiful landscape.
The best photo shot in Labuan Bajo. The view is incredible. Though the path to the top was not easy, but it is paid when we get there. The scenery around was totally great. The hills, the sea, the sky, the boats were blent into one extra ordinary view.

It takes a while from Labuan Bajo to this island. During the trip you will see a lot of island, but there's nothing like this Padar Island.
Once you arrive at Padar Island, you will be welcomed with beautiful clear water. Then you can find the toilet easily and those are in good condition.
During the hike, you are accompanied with beautiful scenery. It might take a while to be on top and see 3 beaches. Don't forget to bring water and take rest when you need. It's quite hot there.

Paradise views from Padar island
My visit to the Padar island near Komodo island, Indonesia was an unforgettable experience and we took a boat tour from Labuan Bajo at dawn and arrived on this beautiful island in the morning. We hiked the mountain on the island which was a great exercise and it was beautiful to take in the views, as we rested on our way up to the top. It had an incredible views of the 3 different coloured beaches in white, black and pink. Also you can see Komodo island in the distance and a beautiful sunrise. 😍 The water looked so wonderful and blue by the beaches although, the one pink beach we visited on Padar island had ocean trash washed away on one side of the beach. I wish people do something about this! Thank you! 🤞🏻🫶🏻 #pinkbeach#padarisland#paradiseisland#hikingonanisland#komodisland#indonesia#environmentalist

The Wonder Place
It was a magical place for me to visit this Padar Island, the unforgettable place that I had visited.
There is about 800+ steps to hike to see the most magical nature. The feeling when you see the beautiful sea from the high place is definitely very satisfying 😍
It was tiring to hike, but every step is worth it as soon as you reach the high point you will how beautiful the surrounding islands. You will never forget this wonderful place.
Komodo Island Trip is one of my favorite and amazing trip so far. One of the place you should visit before die, definitely!!

Hike
What will reward you at the top is possibly the most beautiful sight in Indonesia. It’s only a 1 hour hike to get to the view point at the top, but it’s pretty steep with unstable ground.
To get to Padar island you will have to take a boat from the main land of Labuan Bajo which takes around 3 hours, but is usually combined with a trip to Komodo National Park. Take a look at the tour operators on Labuan Bajo and see which day trip best suits your schedule.
No trip to Komodo is complete without a selfie with the world’s largest lizard, and these are almost guaranteed in these sacred islands. The best place to see them is Rinca Island. Here, you can hike around the lush greenery while searching for these beautiful beasts.

PADAR ISLAND - EAST NUSA TENGGARA
Padar Island which is the third largest in the Komodo National Park area can also be your tourist choice. The location of Padar Island is between Rinca Island and Komodo Island. So you can see the entire Komodo National Park. And this island is closer to Rinca Island than Komodo Island which is separated by the Leech Strait. Maybe the name Padar Island is less familiar to tourists because the name is less famous than Komodo Island and Rinca Island. However, the beauty of Padar Island is no less beautiful than the two islands. Padar Island or popularly called Gili Padar in Flores is like a photo studio set in beautiful natural scenery. How not, the beauty of Padar Island which is included in the Komodo National Park is indeed incredibly beautiful. Padar Island is also accepted as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, because it is located within the Komodo National Park area. Even though it is located within the Komodo National Park area, Padar Island is not inhabited by Komodo dragons due to the broken food chain. Around this island, there are also three or four small islands that each have their own unique panorama. And on Padar Island there is also a stretch of pink beach which is very suitable for swimming, playing water or snorkeling. You can also climb the hill on Padar Island to enjoy the beautiful panorama from above. On this hill the beauty of Padar Island will be clearly visible. High hills, clear sea water, pink and white sand beaches, and air that is far from pollution as well as the surrounding islands will hypnotize visitors. Visitors will be treated to a panoramic view of the "three lakes" in the Flores Sea. The three large indentations on both sides of the cliff on Padar Island, both facing Komodo Island and Rinca Island, do look like three circular lake shores. Although trekking to the highest hill will feel very tiring, but you will be presented with a panoramic view of the hills and very beautiful scenery and capturing the moment will be an activity that never gets bored during the trekking trip. Usually tourists go up this hill in the morning to catch a surise and in the afternoon to see the sunset. Both sunrise and sunset, both are guaranteed to be beautiful and make you not want to move. In addition, you can see the sunrise and the moon at the same time. In addition to the panorama from the top of the hill, Padar Island offers an underwater panorama. There are at least three spots for diving in the waters of Padar Island. The waters are overgrown with many coral reefs with fish that live on coral reefs presenting a beautiful panorama of the sea. If you are lucky, at certain points you can find giant rays called manta rays as well as whales and dolphins.

Extraordinary place!
Went here during christmas season holiday on 2018. Padar Island is an extraordinary place. The scenery there is very beautiful. The mountains, the sky and the sea make a perfect combination. Probably the most famous spot in Labuan Bajo area, and for good reasons.
If you want to go to Padar Island, you should go early in the morning so that it doesn't get too hot when you climb. Also provide drinking water so you don't get thirsty. Many photo areas are beautiful but some of them are dangerous. Make sure you take the photo carefully so you don't fall over. Be sure to bring your own rubbish down with you as they do not have any rubbish bin along the way.

Hiking to witness this stunning view
After the islands of Komodo and Rinca, Padar Island is the third largest in the Komodo National Park area. Padar has also been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site because to its proximity to Komodo National Park, which includes Komodo Island, Rinca Island, and Gili Motang.
Padar Island is also known as Gili Padar among vacationers. It is truly breathtakingly lovely. Padar is one of Flores' most visited tourist sites. Because of the breathtaking scenery from the slopes, this island has a unique appeal.
This location has long been a popular area for hiking and taking photographs with the stunning environment as a backdrop. Padar has no buildings for visitors to see. This is due to the fact that the island is uninhabited. Just a friendly reminder, remember to bring your own food and drink when you come to this place.

I went on a group tour to not just Padar Island, but also Komodo and snorkeling too. It was very nice, there were only 8 of us, which was great as we all got to know each other and weren't fighting for space on the boat. It was really enjoyable! The views were amazing and the snorkeling was fun too. I would do this again!

Climate: Mild and rainy throughout the year
Time difference: No time difference with China
Currency: Indonesian Rupiah
🎈Sightseeing Route
Padar Island: Climb up to overlook the crescent-shaped beach.
Komodo Island: Visit Jurassic Park and meet Komodo dragons
Pink Beach: Play in the water, chase the waves, and check in the dreamy secret place
New Moon Beach: Pure Hanan, trailing beach
Snorkeling: Looking for manta rays
Kanawa Island: Indonesia's "Maldives"
🎈Snorkeling
Komodo is a diving paradise, where you can see sea turtles, sea wolves, sunfish, manta rays, dolphins, eagle rays, and blue-ringed octopuses dancing together.
1⃣Karang Makasar: On the east-north side of Komodo Island, there are no coral reefs or schools of fish, but it is a gathering place for manta rays, and you can see 40-50 manta rays at a time.
2⃣Crystal Rock: The north end of Komodo Island has corals, golden bass, yellow-striped rock bass, clownfish, moray eels, and stonefish. Different fish will visit the small hill at the north end of the rock seasonally.
3⃣Tatawa: On the northeast side of Komodo Island, you can see many fish such as large grouper, trumpetfish, rock bass, wrasse, shark, golden bass.
4⃣Mini Wall: There are many corals on the sandy slope, and garden eels and rock bass are common. In shallow places, you can also see unicorn fish.
🎈Komodo Dragon
These majestic creatures from the Jurassic period can only be seen on Komodo Island, Rinca Island, Motang Island, and Flores Island in the world.
1) Hike to find the endangered giant lizards, as well as various wildlife (spectacled monkeys, deer)
2) Komodo dragons are very dangerous, and their saliva contains deadly toxins. Be sure to watch under the guidance of a ranger.
3) Komodo dragons have a keen sense of smell and are particularly sensitive to the smell of blood. Friends with wounds on their bodies or women who encounter their menstrual period need to inform the ranger in advance.
🎈Padar Island
A volcanic island, you can see four crescent-shaped beaches.
1) It takes about 2 to 3 hours to climb to the top.
2) Do sun protection before climbing the mountain, the climate here is hot
3) Also, you need to wear comfortable shoes and carry some water and dry food.
🎈Pink Beach
The closest Southeast Asian pink beach island to China, a dreamy check-in beach
1) The color and visual effect of the beach are closely related to the weather, waves, and other factors of the day.
2) Red corals are more prickly, the sand is not too delicate, pay attention to protective measures
3) Pink Beach also provides snorkeling and diving points. But because Komodo dragons also live here, underwater activities must follow the instructions of the guide or ranger.
🎈Komodo Boat Stay
The crew and sailors will cook three meals a day for everyone on the boat, enjoy the food while watching the sea view, and fall asleep to the sound of the waves at night.
🎈Bat Island
Wait for the sunset, watch the bats hovering in the sky at Bat Island, it's incredibly shocking
🎈Tips:
①The Komodo Park administrator does not allow drones to be flown on Padar Island unless extra money is paid.
②The online price does not include the Komodo ticket, the ticket system is too complicated,
③Bring some Indonesian Rupiah
④All sea boats have toilets

Sunrise in Pulau Padar
Wow!!! It was so surreal, went to the viewpoint for sunrise and it was crazy beautiful but sadly so many tourists, you couldn’t When you go to Labuan Bajo, it’s better for you to go there in the morning or in the evening.
I choose to find sunrise, but it’s little bit cloudy. You must hike hundreds of stairs, to get the best view in Padar island. Prepare your energy when you want to hike the hill. Sleep well the night before and bring drink with you.
There are also many Rangers who can help you in any situation, especially help you to take your picture.

The ocean is calling and I must go.. 🤭
Komodo, Indonesia is one of the world’s most famous dive destinations. Mostly known for its huge population of manta rays, it’s also home to an abundance of marine life and huge populations of corals. The best way to hit all of the top dive spots in Komodo is to go on a liveaboard so you can reach the further out dive spots that aren’t accessible from Labuan Bajo.
The best way to experience Komodo is on a liveaboard. These begin from 3 days, but 7 days is optimal to experience all the best sites! Komodo liveaboards are also a much more affordable compare to the other place like Raja Ampat. One of the best spot I highly recommended is to hike on to Padar Island. It’s only a 1 hour hike to get to the view point at the top, but it’s pretty steep with unstable ground.
