Unexpected Encounters at Mall
#winhkflight
At Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall, I had an intriguing experience encountering a diverse array of animals, including different breeds of chickens, spiders, snakes, and even a sizable iguana. Throughout my visit, the roosters made their presence known with their continuous crowing, while the silky chickens captured my attention with their exceptionally fluffy and charming demeanour.
Hope to win tickets to Hong Kong to visit Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens Green House 🤩
Biggest mall in batam
#celebratewithtrip
Batam Island has a lot to offer in the area of shopping. when shopping in Batam Island means shopping without paying for duties and taxes! On this shopping paradise, one of the best places to get duty and tax-free merchandise is the Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall.
The Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall is the biggest mall in Nagoya City in Batam Island. And although it is not located on a hill, most call the mall the Nagoya Hill SuperBlock. The mall in fact is located in the center of Nagoya, which is found in the Southern region of Batam.
The Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall is a low-rise mall with only three floors to it. It has, however, several buildings clustered close together with rows and rows of shopping stalls displaying their wares in glass windows of their shops. It also has the two very popular retail companies in Indonesia as its tenants, occupying prominent spaces in the mall. The Hypermart can be found on ground level and the Matahari is on second level.
Looking for halal dimsum?
Located along the Food Street area. Looking for some lites before we going back from our trip and we came across this store. Since it is halal, we decided to give it a try. And we don't regret with our decision. There were plenty of choices to choose from but we just decide to have these for a start. Taste was good and the portion wise just right for the price. They do serve other dishes like fried rice, mee goreng and even porridge. We will definitely come back here to try other dishes. Definitely thumbs up for halal dimsum.

Are you going to Batam or plan to visit this place soon? Usually get some souvenirs back home? Would recommend you to get it from this shop called Alfredo Makibong Mari Kita Borong as prices are affordable, and they have a variety of items such as bags, magnet, keychain and shirt with the words “Batam” written on it.
Do check out this place if you are at Batam in case you do manage to find a little something to bring back home. :)

Satisfy food cravings @ Nagoya Food Street
#bucketlistreboot #foodhunt #foodforall #cheaplocalfood #foodstreets
If you are in a big group and everyone has different options and food cravings, holidaying at Batam, Nagoya Food Street is the best place to be at.
It has different food items like bak kut teh, Ayam penat, bubble tea shops like Ding cha, coffee, tea and other drinks as well.
Personally recommend trying the Ayam Penat as it’s chilli is a bit different from what you find in other countries. Bubble tea is also cheap and has quite a lot of flavour options. Do try some local flavours available when you are here.
As Thai food street is located within Nagoya shopping mall, you can shop after your belly is happy ;) Or go for a massage opposite the mall as many options are available.

If you are someone who needs to have your daily dose of Kopi or Teh like a normal Singaporean usually have for tea daily, you will be glad to see this post as Kopi and Teh are really hard to find in Batam :)
Was pleased to find this place called Kopte which has both Kopi and Teh customised to what we usually find at Singapore at an affordable price, around $1. Would recommend to try their normal drinks though those who prefer something more fancy can try mocha tarik, milo Kopi etc to challenge your taste buds ;)
