A thousand years ago, there were theme parks too!
It turns out that ancient people also liked to visit theme parks.
There is a mountain in Luzhou, Sichuan
Named Yuchan Mountain because it resembles a toad!
In ancient times, Yuchan (jade toad) was considered an auspicious and spiritual creature
Phrases like 'Chan Gong Zhe Gui' (toad palace and the laurel tree), 'Yutu Yinchang' (jade rabbit and silver toad), and 'Liu Hai Xi Chan' (Liu Hai playing with a toad)
Are all descriptions of the toad's auspicious aura!
Yuchan Mountain is not only shaped like a toad
But also has many peculiar rocks on it!
The shapes also resemble toads
With attractions such as 'Shuang Chan Dui Ming' (two toads calling to each other), 'Qian Chan Xi Xi' (thousands of toads frolicking), and 'Chan Wang Chi' (toad king pool)
There are many toad-related sites
It can truly be called a 'Jade Toad Fairyland'
Definitely an ancient version of a theme park!
Historical records show that Yuchan Mountain had Yuan Tong Temple built during the Tang Dynasty
At that time, it was very popular with pilgrims coming in droves
The Song Dynasty literary giant Huang Tingjian got drunk here and wrote about 'Yuchan'
The Ming Dynasty top scholar Yang Shen wrote wildly about 'Jin Ao Feng' (Golden Turtle Peak) here
And so on, there are countless legends and stories
Today, there are still more than 400 cliff carvings from the Ming Dynasty preserved here
Exquisitely beautiful, they are breathtaking
If you come to Luzhou, you must not miss this place
It is definitely worth a visit

So niche! Who would have thought that Luzhou has Ming Dynasty cliff carvings!
I didn't expect Luzhou to actually have Ming Dynasty cliff carvings
There are more than 400 statues
The key is that the lines are smooth and the shapes are beautiful
The forms are diverse and lifelike
This place is located in Luzhou, Sichuan
Yuchan Mountain!
Named for its shape resembling a toad
It is known as the 'Pearl of Southern Sichuan'
The cliff carvings here are simple and elegant
There are the Thousand-Handed Guanyin, Nine Dragons Bathing the Prince, Amitabha Buddha, and so on
Among them, a depiction of Enlightenment is very special
Under a bodhi tree sits a devotee
With hands on knees supporting his head
Incense smoke curls around him
Eyes half-closed
As if he has already comprehended the Zen mystery
