#Miyoujia Holiday Home Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Escape from Shanghai for a weekend and drive 1h to Ji Jia Dun, super healing
I didn't expect Kunshan to have such a comfortable place, and I thoroughly enjoyed a day of the leisurely small-town life I've dreamed of, healing this working person's heart! Just the B&B and Ji Jia Dun Ideal Village can take up half a day. I highly recommend the exclusive courtyard of Mi You Jia B&B, and I'll explain why!
🚗 Travel: It takes 1 hour to drive here from Shanghai, and parking is very convenient. There is a free parking lot at the entrance of the village, and the butler helped to call a shuttle because I had a lot of luggage.
🍴 Dining: There is a late-night canteen right under the B&B, convenient and delicious! The restaurant serves simple meals and shabu-shabu. It was still a bit cold at night, so I ordered a steaming hot pot 🍲. In the afternoon, there's also roasted milk by the stove to order, which can be fully arranged without leaving the house, super cozy.
The restaurants in the resort also offer Western cuisine & Thai-style hot pot, with a variety of options to choose from, easily solving the dilemma of finding food 😌
📷 Surroundings: It's close to two nearby ancient towns, Zhouzhuang and Jinxi, and I visited Zhouzhuang. I'll go to Jinxi next time when I have time. There's also a little train in the village, and I saw many people bringing children 👧 to play, so there are plenty of activities.
🏠 Accommodation: The rooms are very spacious, with good sunlight, and there's a swimming pool in the yard, as well as a small riverside courtyard. Overall, there aren't many rooms, so it's quite quiet, very suitable for family or friends gatherings.
😃 Service: The overall service is also very good, responsive to requests. The B&B also has bicycles for free riding around the village, which is a nice way to explore. Coming here in two weeks when the spring is warmer and flowers are blooming should be even more fun 😌
