The 798 Art District is a quirky area that I did not expect to find in China’s capital of Beijing. I visited on a weekday morning, so there were not many people but friends have said they attended events here on the weekends and evenings and met artists and interesting people from all over the world. I found some nice cafes there and of course, various art shops, statues, and murals. Very Instagram-worthy!

798 ART ZONE!
So, I recently visited the 798 Art Zone in Beijing, and let me tell you, it was quite an experience. As an art lover, I was excited to explore this former industrial area that has been transformed into a hub of artistic expression. And boy, was I not disappointed! The maze-like alleyways of the 798 Art Zone were a treat to explore. The area was teeming with galleries, studios, cafes, and shops that showcased the work of some of China's most talented artists. From paintings and sculptures to digital art and installations, there was something for everyone.
One of the things that struck me about the area was the unique blend of industrial architecture and contemporary artwork. The former factories and warehouses that now house the galleries provide a distinctive backdrop for the art on display, creating a fascinating contrast between old and new.
All in all, my visit to the 798 Art Zone was an enriching experience that left me feeling inspired and creative. It's a must-visit destination for anyone interested in contemporary Chinese culture, and even if you're not an art lover, the area has so much to offer in terms of food, community, and architectural beauty. If you're ever in Beijing, make sure to check it out!

798 Art Zone
If you visited all the main touristic destinations in Beijing you must visit one more - 798 Art Zone. It’s a former factory, but factories can be changed into amazing art spots under the sky. 798 is one of them! There are lots of exhibitions here, so you will not be bored even if you aren’t here for the first time. Shops, vintage stores, cozy cafes create that special kind of atmosphere. Decorations there are great. Every corner looks like a photo location!
Highly recommend this place if you didn’t have a chance to visit it.
Different food options are available on the territory. So, don’t worry about it!

Let's get colourful!
It is an understatement to say that Beijing has something for everyone and this colorful gem in the 798 Art Zone is proof of just that. If you are traveling to Beijing you are probably thinking of visiting the Great Wall or the Forbidden City but what about something more edgy and modern...
I am very much into the old and historical side of traveling and my partner is into the artsy and off-the-beaten-path types of places. We booked into the East hotel, which is located a few roads away from the Art Zone, so we could cycle to and from in 10-15 minutes depending on the traffic. There are restaurants and art galleries mixed in with vintage shops and an invite-only cocktail bar that is built inside of a train carriage. Unfortunately, we weren't able to make it for our reservation at the cocktail bar but the biker bar next to it during the day was pretty cool all on its own.
The 798 Art Zone is a definite must-see if you are in Beijing, even if you are a history geek like me!

798 Art Zone
798 Art Zone or Dashanzi Art District, is a complex of 50-year-old decommissioned military factory buildings boasting a unique architectural style that houses a thriving artistic community in Dashanzi, Chaoyang District of Beijing.
The area is often called the 798 Art District or Factory 798 although technically, Factory 798 is only one of several structures inside the complex formerly known as 718 Joint Factory. The buildings are within alleys number 2 and 4 on Jiǔxiānqiáo Lù (酒仙桥路), south of the Dàshānziqiáo flyover (大山子桥).
The area is anchored by the UCCA Center for Contemporary Art, the largest and most visited venue in the area. In recent years, it has been the main venue for the annual Beijing Queer Film Festival and Beijing Design Week
798 Art Zone Beijing
If you are visiting Beijing, 788 Art Zone is a must see. Even if you live in Beijing, you should visit a few times per year as the art exhibits change regularly. There are so many galleries, art shops, clothing stores, and lovely cafes. It doesn’t even matter the weather because you can’t go in and out of the galleries quickly as they are packed close to one another. If you are into photography, this is also the place for you. Not only do you have lovely art to photograph, but the exterior is like an old brick factory, beautiful by itself, or to pose with. 798 Art Zone truly is a one of a kind place in Beijing.
Maurizio Cattelan x UCCA Beijing
I read about this temporary exhibition online and wanted absolutely to go!
Since I moved in China I was missing all the contemporary art galleries that enriches the Italian big cities, where I used to live.
It was a very nice surprise to find Maurizio Cattelan art showed at UCCA gallery in 798 art zone.
most of Cattelan's pieces I saw were very interesting and in some way disturbing (in a correct way in how the art should let you feel).
I don't recommend to bring kids.
But whoever is interested in contemporary art, should stop by!

789 Art District Beijing
If you are looking for amazing art, beautiful little shops and delicious food then take a trip to the Art District 789 in Beijing. It has everything: permanent and temporary art installations, cafes and restaurants, boutiques and vintages stores and so much more. With little side streets and huge gallerys it is a good time.

798 Art District
Even people who don’t like art will come away with an appreciation for the topic after a visit to the 798 Art District, Beijing’s avant garde art district. Located in what once was an old electrical power plant, the 798 Art District is a beehive of artistic activity. Visitors can see artists at work in their studios, purchase art and art-related souvenirs, relax their tired feet at a sidewalk café, and admire the hundreds of statues that can be found outdoors on any street. To fully appreciate the 798 Art District, visitors might want to spend at least a whole day here as there is too much to see in just a few hours.

Emperor Dudu shop | ins wind niche photo holy place attached color tutorial
went to Beijing on a business trip stumbled upon a store, originally thought it was a coffee shop, later learned that it is a designer shop, the main selling clothes And jewelry. The space design is great and every place is attentive. The clerk is also very nice and will tell you which places are suitable for taking pictures. On the working day, there are not many people.
The overall style is based on white tone, ins simple style, super good shot! Because this time I didn't bring a camera, this set of photos was taken by a mobile phone. The indoor lighting is great, and the mobile phone is also stress-free! There are at least five photo areas, and the photo labels are all remarked! Its so good! !
The phone was a bit yellowish in the early stage, and the VSCO color was used later. The original intention was to adjust to a neat bright white, which is closer to the naked eye. If you like, you can refer to the following steps:

Dragon Year Exhibition (2) — The Chris Nature Art Museum
Can you imagine that these kaleidoscopic beautiful scenes are all made up of insect specimens? During the exhibition, I couldn't help but wonder, is it art that has achieved these lives? Or have these lives achieved these works of art? For those who like insect specimens, you must visit this museum if you have the chance, it's well worth it.

Beijing Parent-Child New Exhibition | I Miss You So Much Experience the warmth brought by the healing artist
The B06 space at 798🏛️ has a new exhibition this weekend, the highly sought-after post-80s artist🧑🎨 Zhang Zhanzhan's solo exhibition "I Miss You So Much" is launched. The bright colors and cute animal🐰 images are undoubtedly another great place for parent-child viewing👨👩👦 and photo-taking.
The 1700-square-meter exhibition space features more than 10 large-scale installations🦍 and dozens of canvas oil paintings🖼️ and paper drawings, etc. The open space presents the largest solo exhibition of this healing artist🧑🎨. Although the works are themed around loneliness, they incorporate many warm💕 and healing details.
🔴How to play with kids?
✅Viewing the exhibition
The exhibition displays a rich variety of works, including installations, videos🎦, oil paintings, sketches, etc. The few but very child-friendly simple lines and clean styles are very suitable for parent-child viewing👨👩👦. Children can also find common ground with the artist through these different works.
✅Photography
Whether it's the blue ducks🦆 floating on the outdoor water or the pink rabbits🐰 and blue gorillas🦧 inside the exhibition hall, the most outstanding part of the exhibition is the artist's large-scale sculpture installations. With few colors, the woven forms are reminiscent of the toys we played with as children. The main installation "Wandering on the Road" is a 6-meter-tall pink rabbit in a walking posture, a bit lonely and a bit cute, becoming one of the must-visit spots for everyone to take photos📸.
✅Interaction
There are three indoor exhibition halls in the exhibition area, 1️⃣ one is a video space, showing the dynamic images of Zhang Zhanzhan's "I Miss You So Much"; 2️⃣ one is an immersive space designed like the surface of the🌔 moon, displaying the mascot of the Space Art Museum, Long Tengteng🐲; 3️⃣ another is an interactive experience space, created based on a childhood memory from one of Zhang Zhanzhan's works, a 🌈colorful world where children can jump around freely.
🔴Favorite works
🔸"I Miss You So Much": The image of a rabbit running hard with a bouquet of flowers💐 conveys a sense of excitement about carrying love💗 and hope towards the future.
✅"The River": Inspired by the artist's childhood story of being too embarrassed to take off his shoes👟 and play in the water with his classmates because of a hole in his sock, this part of the exhibition is turned into an interactive work area. It is also the children's👦 favorite place. Although the artist's story carries sensitive sadness, the children seem to heal the artist's past with happiness and laughter😄.

Beijing Parent-Child | A Great Destination for Natural Science Education: Create Your Own Insect Specimens
Take your child to make their own unique insect specimens at the Chris Nature Art Museum, which turns insects and animals into works of art🖼️. The museum's pieces have gone viral on social media and the internet for their aesthetic appeal🔥, making it a popular spot for parents to introduce their children to the beauty of natural art👨👩👦. Over the weekend, I took my child👦 to participate in their Little Chris Natural Science event, where we not only learned a lot of interesting🐞 insect science facts but also created a unique specimen to take home.
✅The Little Chris Natural Science event offers a variety of special courses such as nature interest, 🪲beetle activities, and 🦋butterfly activities.
✅The activity room also features a 🪴carnivorous plant ecosystem, which we visited before the official class started. The teacher👨🏫 also showed and explained to us the habits of plants like the pitcher plant and Venus flytrap.
✅During the course, the teacher not only provided detailed📖 explanations about insects and animals but also allowed us to 👋touch them, such as the cockroach🪳 that makes a farting noise, the mantis that looks like a tiny orchid, feeling the temperature of a snake's🐍 body, observing the differences between their dorsal and ventral scales, and even a mouthwash💉 made from cockroach extract. The course was both informative and provided a real hands-on experience, making it very interesting.
✅In the specimen-making session, the teacher explained and demonstrated step by step how to spread the insects to display their🪽 most beautiful posture. The children👦 felt a sense of accomplishment as they created their own natural art pieces🖼️.
⭕️Other
🔸The Little Chris Natural Science event lasts about 2 hours per session. There are no restrooms inside the museum, so it's advisable to take the children to the park's🚻 restrooms in advance.
🔸From the first to the third floor, the museum displays art pieces🖼️ made from insects and animals, which are periodically updated. It's recommended to take some time to slowly explore the exhibits.
🔸The arrangement and color of the displayed works are stunning, and by entering the work number on your📱, you can view detailed information. There are also staff members🧑💼 available for consultation.

A Stunning Exhibition by Hiroshi Sugimoto
If you're a fan of photography, you should check out the current exhibition at the 798 Art Centre in Beijing! The show features the work of the renowned Japanese photographer Hiroshi Sugimoto, and it's truly a must-see. The prints on display are not black and white, as some might assume, but rather gelatin silver prints that showcase Sugimoto's exceptional skill and artistry. The photographs cover a wide range of subjects, from famous faces to contemporary pieces that evoke a certain mood, as well as animals and physical wood and glass pieces.
Although it's difficult to capture the full essence of the exhibition in pictures, I can assure you that the experience of seeing the prints in person is truly remarkable. The level of detail and the quality of the prints are simply stunning. In addition to Sugimoto's work, there are also several other interesting art exhibitions on display at the 798 Art Centre that are worth checking out.
Not only that but there are many other art galleries if you're in Beijing, make sure to head down to the art centre and take in some of the incredible art on exhibition. #falltrip

The exhibition in Beijing recently has been very windy~ It's said to awaken everyone's childhood
Hello everyone, I am the fun-loving Sister Mengyao 😁
.
I recently visited the Zhang Zhanzhan solo exhibition at the 798 Art Zone, and the first thing that caught my eye was the huge 6-meter-tall pink rabbit 🐰
I never expected that when I saw this classic cartoon character, I would be completely captivated!
All the classic childhood images for those born in the '80s and '90s are here in one place!
It's like suddenly returning to childhood, memories instantly awakened! Who understands, friends!
😅
After looking for a long time, it seems I only recognized seven or eight characters, who knows the others, I'm asking for the experts to show the way!
.
Oh right! The exhibition lasts until May 5th, there are so many fun activities on-site, and it's also very suitable for a weekend outing with the kids!
Find a sunny afternoon, embrace the flowers, and run with all your might!
The Renaissance master Titian's original works have arrived in Beijing!
I heard that the 'Titian and the Renaissance' exhibition, which was once shown in Shanghai, has come to Beijing, so I quickly went to 798 with friends to appreciate the rare genuine exhibition.
The exhibition displayed 59 paintings by 47 painters, covering European Gothic art to Baroque art styles.
From the 13th to the 18th century, one can clearly see the evolution of painting methods and techniques, with figures transitioning from their initial stiffness and flatness to fullness and three-dimensionality. The use of light and dark contrast, as well as color contrast, makes the paintings more delicate and lifelike.
From the first-floor exhibition hall to the third floor, from early panel egg tempera paintings to later canvas oil paintings, it was like swimming through the long river of European art development.
The original works of painters such as Titian, Rubens, Old Palma, Botticelli, Piazzetta, Rembrandt, and others allowed me to experience the charm of art.
Healing moments
798art when you need some calming and artly moment you better go there, lots of different vibes, cat cafes, dp cafes, boutiques. just enjoy the moment, (better with go bestie) #798 #art
