River Boating in Kyoto

Last month I went to Kyoto to celebrate my birthday and did river boating. This is Hozu River, a scenic spot especially in Fall. An hour ride would cost you 1,500¥/15$. It is also touristy like its surrounding area, Arashiyama where there’s the Bamboo forest and lots of temples. Spending a day in Arashiyama would be better if you want to go around visiting temples or trying some sweets, and dining in local restaurants. Kyoto is popular to both local and international tourists that’s why when the pandemic hit, the locals had a hard time dealing with declining sales.
