Chengdu Surroundings｜Get everything done within a 2h drive: hot spring, dog walking, and food

Chengdu is so cold that both northerners and southern puppies🐶 don't like it❄️. Of course, it's best to find a place to soak in a hot spring♨️ and run wild! This place is near Shangli Ancient Town in Ya'an, 2h drive from the east gate of Chengdu🚘. It's super pet-friendly. Today, the corgi is the king of the lawn❗️If you come in summer, some rooms have private pools🐶 for water play. It's a good place to stay all year round. The hot spring pool is a private pool that needs to be booked in advance. It costs 298💰, not included in the room rate, and can be used for 1h. It's quite clean as they clean and change the water after each guest. There's a stove so it's not too cold to soak in this season. But actually, you might feel dizzy before 1h haha. ⚠️This place uses hot water, not a hot spring. The owner will tell you this when you book the private pool, and ask if you mind. There are many small attractions around🉑️ that you can visit. They're not spectacular, but it's quite nice for a casual outing. One is Wangji, a 30-year-old shop recommended by netizens. It's fragrant but a bit spicy. We prefer Dingji Bangbang Chicken, which is popular among local users. The green pepper chicken + red oil is quite good. We even used the soup to mix noodles last night. 2⃣️The Shangli Ancient Town nearby is generally considered boring. It was my first time seeing a clean filial archway, which was quite fresh. It's not far from Tiantai Mountain and Mengding Mountain, so you can plan your trip according to your interests. 3⃣️The hotel breakfast is exquisite but I think the taste is average. There are barbecues, stir-fries, steaks🥩, pasta, etc. for dinner. I don't know how they taste. 4⃣️The hotel room has a small refrigerator, which is good if you bring your own wine. Especially in summer, it should be better to sit on the lawn or by the pool, drinking and chatting. 5⃣️The indoor gym and pool are quite small. I don't know if they're open in winter. 6⃣️The hotel has horses🐎. You can feed them. Maybe there will be horse riding lessons in the future? 7⃣️There are rooms at a special price of 299💰. I stayed in one of them. It includes breakfast, welcome fruit, dessert before bed, and horse feeding experience. It's more expensive on weekends and specific dates, but it's 299 on weekdays.
