At the confluence of two rivers, the water is clear and vast—Wangkou

After the first sentence, the bamboo rafts float on the Shengshui, surrounded by mountains with proud horse-head walls, pink walls, dark tiles, and three carvings, and Shang Zhu is known for his enlightening teachings. Wangkou is said to have a history of over 1100 years and was an important waterway and commodity distribution center in the ancient Huizhou Wuyi area. Today, the ancient commercial port is abandoned, and Wangkou has returned to tranquility, with only the ancient camphor tree at the entrance of the village and the names of each alley witnessing the century-old prosperity of merchants gathering. The village still retains many Huizhou-style buildings and the original simplicity of Wuyuan's folk customs. In addition to old buildings such as the Yu Family Ancestral Hall, the Doctor's Residence, and the Township Agreement Office, the village has preserved a supply and marketing cooperative. The quotations, red stars, slogans, and old items displayed in the store instantly transport people back to that special era of the sixties and seventies. Wandering through Wangkou village, villagers either walk through the streets visiting neighbors, are busy with chores, or gather together to talk about topics we don't understand, while children play in front of the stage, full of the breath of life.
