Jinci in Taiyuan: A cultural treasure surviving for a thousand years

Jinci Museum is the best of the three Jins, with Jinyang being the best, and the best of Jinyang is all in Jinci. Jinci, located at the foot of Xuanweng Mountain 25 kilometers southwest of Taiyuan, Shanxi, was originally named Tang Shuyu Temple, named after Ji Yu, the founding prince of the Jin State, also known as Jin Wang Temple, abbreviated as Jinci. The cultural relics of Jinci are extremely rich, with more than 100 buildings of various types such as halls, towers, pavilions, platforms, bridges, and pavilions from the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, more than 100 sculptures since the Song and Yuan dynasties, more than 30 pieces of cast art, more than 440 inscriptions from all dynasties, more than 200 pieces of poetry and couplets, and 96 ancient trees, among which there are 30 ancient trees over a thousand years old.
