Fort Canning Park - a place of history

#newyearadventure Fort Canning Park is one of Singapore's most historic landmarks, which is located in central Singapore. A former British military bunker and defence point, it had since being repurposed into a large green park for locals and tourists alike to enjoy. One of the iconic landmarks is the Tree Tunnel, which is an underground crossing with a spiral staircase on the edge of Fort Canning Park. Many people came here just to take a picture of this - Instagram-able, indeed. Formerly the site of the Far East Command Centre, also known as the Battle Box, Fort Canning Park still has plenty of historical artefacts and educational sights that one can see and enjoy.
