♻️ Sustainability is not a new concept in the hotel industry. With the threat of global biodiversity loss and climate change, more and more hotel groups are making sustainability one of their main development themes. From plastic room cards being replaced by wooden ones, small bottle amenities being replaced by large ones... more and more hotel brands are considering sustainability from the very beginning of their design. The four terraces of forest, beach, garden, and cloud show the harmonious coexistence of urban architecture and natural landscape. The green plant irrigation water source everywhere comes from the hotel's special rainwater recycling system. After collection, filtration, sterilization and other complex processes, the rainwater is reasonably used in various aspects of the green plant landscape. It is precisely because of the addition of plants that the overall appearance of the hotel looks more like a huge ornamental flower rack, where people can freely shuttle and feel the unique charm of the "Garden City". The rooms are also full of clever ideas for sustainability. In addition to the large packaging of amenities, each room does not provide bottled water in plastic bottles. More than 2,400 plants and trees covering about 1,400 square meters are cleverly arranged in the hotel's indoor space. What catches the eye is a 13-meter-high green wall. This green wall is equipped with an automated drip irrigation device to prevent waste of water resources. Under the blessing of the huge bird cage in the lobby, people are brought into the illusion of a huge plant landscape canyon. The birds on duty every day also present the limited white noise exclusive to this place at different positions in the hotel. The hotel's rooftop terrace is not only covered with solar panels, but also moved the vegetable garden here. 90% of Singapore's food supply depends on imports, but this situation is about to change. In the hotel industry, PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay, Singapore is one of the pioneers in creating a self-sufficient food supply strategy and reducing food mileage. The output of the urban farm meets about 20% of the hotel's food ingredient needs, making an outstanding contribution to self-sufficiency in food, and also ensuring the freshness of the ingredients from the farm to the table. The hotel also organized various departments to make environmentally friendly Christmas trees. The irregular building structure is more like terraces, providing growth space for various plants. Looking out the window in each guest room, it is full of greenery, as if in a huge miniature landscape. The hotel encourages guests to travel green, so it provides bicycle rental services in the lobby, hoping to truly feel Singapore's "green life" in this way. This hotel also installed a water purification device in the guest rooms, and the hotel encourages guests to reduce the replacement of amenities and bedding during their stay, and make a contribution to energy saving and emission reduction. The hotel's outdoor terrace also has a huge open-air botanical garden, where various spices and vegetables and fruits are planted, realizing the hotel restaurant's self-production and self-sales, providing a fresh feeling on the tip of the tongue.
