The charm of Badaguan, the nostalgia by the Zhan Bridge, and the sea breeze gently caressing my heart…” Whenever the song "Qingdao Love Song" rings in my ears, the picturesque coastal city of Qingdao, with its unique romance and charm, captures my heart and beckons me to explore. In March, as the chill of winter fades, Qingdao gradually reveals its new look. With a longing for this island city, I embarked on this delightful journey😃. 🔵Best Time to Visit In March, Qingdao's temperature ranges from 5℃ to 12℃. Although it's still a bit chilly, the sea breeze has softened considerably. During this time, there are relatively fewer tourists at the coastal attractions. The European-style buildings of Badaguan are even more charming against the backdrop of spring scenery, and the greenery in the Laoshan Mountains is just beginning to emerge. This is the perfect time to experience the unique charm of Qingdao✨. 🔵Itinerary D1: Zhan Bridge → Qingdao German-style Street → Prince Hotel (Overnight) Arriving in Qingdao in the morning, I headed straight to Zhan Bridge. This century-old structure extending into the sea carries the historical memories of Qingdao. Strolling along the bridge, with the waves lapping against the piers below, seagulls soaring overhead, and the distant cityscape in full view, is a truly immersive experience. In the afternoon, I visited Qingdao German-style Street, where German-style buildings with red tiles and yellow walls stand in rows. Walking along the street felt like traveling back in time to Germany. The cafes and beer houses along the street exude an exotic atmosphere. I found a place to sit, savored authentic German beer, and enjoyed a unique sense of leisure. In the evening, I checked in to the Prince Hotel, which is right next to Zhan Bridge. The hotel boasts an excellent location, elegant and comfortable rooms, and the soothing sound of waves lulls you to sleep. D2: Badaguan → No.2 Bathing Beach → Qingdao Hyatt Regency Hotel (Overnight) In the morning, I went to Badaguan. At this time of year, the spring scenery in Badaguan is picturesque. The peach blossoms on Shaoguan Road and the crabapple blossoms on Ningwuguan Road are in full bloom, complementing the European-style villas of various styles, creating a breathtakingly beautiful scene. Walking along the tree-lined paths, breathing in the fresh air, and experiencing the blend of history and nature is truly refreshing. In the afternoon, I went to No.2 Bathing Beach. Although the seawater was still a bit cool, the sand was fine. I strolled along the beach and collected various seashells. In the evening, I checked in to the Qingdao Hyatt Regency Hotel, which is located near Shilaoren Bathing Beach. The hotel offers convenient transportation, and the rooms on the higher floors offer sea views, allowing guests to enjoy the seaside resort atmosphere. D3: Laoshan Mountain → Return Trip After breakfast, I headed to Laoshan Mountain, known as the "No.1 Mountain by the Sea." In March, Laoshan Mountain is characterized by gurgling springs and budding greenery. Walking along the hiking trails, I admired the unique peaks, strange rocks, and the magnificent scenery where the mountains meet the sea. Inside the Taiqing Palace, the fragrance of incense lingered in the air, and ancient trees towered into the sky, offering a glimpse into the profound Taoist culture. After reaching the summit, I looked out over the vast and magnificent sea, feeling refreshed and invigorated. Afterward, I returned home, filled with wonderful memories. 🔵Transportation Guide • Direct flights: Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport has numerous routes and airport buses to various parts of the city.
