Yunshuiyao Tulou Cluster

The Yunshuiyao Tulou Cluster is a historic ancient village, with the old town located in Yunshuiyao Ancient Town, Nanjing County, Zhangzhou, Fujian. The Yunshuiyao Ancient Town is a historic ancient village, featuring secluded ancient paths, century-old banyan trees, magical earthen buildings, and the spiritual mountains and clear waters, all of which give people a transcendent feeling. The Changjiao Ancient Path in Nanjing County was historically the main thoroughfare of southwestern Fujian and has close ties with Taiwan. As early as the Ming Dynasty, the Jian family and other people from southwestern Fujian migrated to Taiwan. Due to the movie 'Yunshuiyao' winning the 26th Golden Rooster Awards and being filmed here, the Changjiao Ancient Path was renamed to 'Yunshuiyao' Ancient Path. Along the path, there are dozens of banyan trees over a hundred years old, graceful and lush, coexisting with the local simple and kind folk customs. Wandering the ancient path, one's heart becomes pure, feeling as if time has frozen here. The Yunshuiyao Scenic Area boasts the world cultural heritage 'Hegui Building' and other famous tulou clusters, millennium-old banyan tree groups, century-old streets, and thousand-year-old paths. Under the banyan trees, a cobblestone path polished smooth by countless footsteps stretches into the distance. It has been verified that this path was the essential route from Tingzhou Prefecture to Zhangzhou Prefecture. Alongside the path, there are old-style brick and wood structured houses, which are the old streets with hundreds of years of history in the ancient town. At the foot of the mountains, by the stream banks, and in the fields, there are scattered tulou buildings. These earthen buildings, which began construction in the mid-Yuan Dynasty, are well-preserved. These tulou buildings come in various forms, including stilted buildings, bamboo pole buildings, and mansion-style tulou, each offering a unique scenic view.
