Shirakawa Park

#thingstodo The west side of National Route 3 is the downtown area of Kami-dori, Kami-back alley, and Namiki-zaka...an urban park in the center of the city. The prefecture's largest department store is about 400 meters away. The area near the department store has the highest commercial land price, and the residential area of Shinyashiki, on the opposite bank of the Shirakawa River, which is the source of the name, flows immediately to the east and has the highest residential land price. There used to be a prefectural office, but it was destroyed in the war and moved to where Sakuramachi Kumamoto is now.
