The Hushan Great Wall in Dandong

The Hushan Great Wall in Dandong is a section that stretches across the mountainous terrain in northern China, resembling a giant dragon. It was initially built in the fifth year of the Ming Dynasty's Chenghua period, constructed by the Ming government to defend against the incursions of the Jianzhou Jurchens. The final stretch is extremely steep, and to fully witness the magnificent Great Wall, one must climb to the top by tightly gripping the iron chains with both hands. Standing atop the Great Wall, one can gaze upon the beautiful landscapes of both Dandong and North Korea.
