Fortress-Island Suomenlinna in Helsinki

Suomenlinna (or in Swedish Sveaborg) is a sea fortress, which was built from about 1750 onwards on a group of islands belonging to the district of Helsinki. The islands were partly used by the Finnish army, today you can explore the fortress, stone hideouts, museum, little shops, churches and coffees and restaurants on the island. 🛳️ There is a small ferry leaving from Helsinki center every hour. The price is a normal A+B Helsinki public transport ticket.
