Liuli Ancient Village, Haiyan, Zhejiang

Zhujiamen Village belongs to Liuli Village, Yanpu Town. It is located in the northeast of Liuliyan Ancient Town, adjacent to Baoliu Road and Bolu Mountain in the east, Cuiping Road in the south, Liulishi River (Yanliu River) in the west and Ziliu Road in the north. There is a Zhujiamen River in the middle, which was excavated in July 1962 and leads to Zhanggongyang in the north. Zhujiamen is named after a person with the surname Zhu who lived here. There used to be only eighteen families with the surname Zhu here, with houses lined up and fields crisscrossing. The trickling stream flowing from the Bolu Mountain once passed through Zhujiamen and flowed into the Liuliyanxia River. The stream water once nurtured the mulberry fields and farmland here, and also gave birth to generations of people here. The two existing Zhu residences, Lu residence and Pan residence are staggered in distribution, with a combination of high and low horse-head walls, patio windows, white walls and black tiles, secluded paths and swaying tree shadows, integrating Zhujiamen into a unique ancient painting village. : : : : : : : : : : : : : : :
