St. Giles Cathedral, the main church of Edinburgh, is also the national church of Scotland. The church was originally built in 1120 and was destroyed by fire. It was rebuilt in 1385. The tower top of the church is modeled after the Scottish crown, reflecting its position in Scotland. A typical Gothic building, the tower resembles a crown, with beautiful interiors and exterior carvings, brightly colored stained glass windows, and a tall organ. Many of the places are decorated with carvings of the unicorn holding the St. Andrew's Cross flag and the lion holding the red cross flag on white. This is a symbol of Scotland and England, and the blue dome is also very beautiful.
